Why This Missouri Ranch Home's Walkout Basement Is the Talk of the Town New

Why This Missouri Ranch Home's Walkout Basement Is the Talk of the Town

Classic brick ranch homes have remained popular across generations because they offer something many homeowners appreciate: simplicity, comfort, and practical living space. Their single-story layouts can make everyday activities easier, particularly for families with young children or older adults who prefer to avoid frequent trips up and down stairs. Brick exteriors also provide a traditional appearance that has remained fashionable for decades. In Columbia, Missouri, ranch-style properties can be found in established neighborhoods where mature trees, generous yards, and familiar architectural details contribute to their appeal.Inside these homes, buyers often look for spacious living rooms, large picture windows, hardwood floors, and traditional fireplaces. These features evoke memories of family gatherings, holiday dinners, and quiet evenings spent together. Kitchens and dining rooms are frequently arranged for everyday convenience, while bedrooms on the main floor make the layout practical. Although individual properties vary considerably, the combination of comfortable interiors and classic design helps explain why ranch homes continue attracting buyers who appreciate both nostalgia and functionality. One of the most desirable features is a walkout basement. Unlike a traditional basement that can feel enclosed or disconnected from the outdoors, a walkout basement includes a door leading directly to the yard. Depending on the property, this lower level might provide room for a family entertainment area, guest accommodations, a home office, or a workshop. Some homeowners use the additional space for hobbies, storage, or gatherings with grandchildren. Properly finished basements can add valuable usable space, although their suitability for bedrooms or separate living quarters depends on building requirements, ventilation, safety, and local regulations.Columbia’s combination of residential neighborhoods, university activity, parks, and everyday amenities contributes to the appeal of homes in the area. However, the value of any individual property depends on its condition, location, maintenance needs, and current market conditions. A brick exterior doesn’t eliminate the need for inspections, and walkout basements should be checked for moisture and drainage issues. Still, for people who appreciate traditional American homes, the ranch style offers an appealing combination of familiar architecture and adaptable living space. Whether someone dreams of retiring in a peaceful neighborhood or creating a welcoming place for family visits, a well-maintained brick ranch can provide the setting for many years of memories.Could you see yourself living in a classic brick ranch home like this, or would you prefer a modern two-story house? 🏡❤️

Rosie O’Donnell's Fiery Reaction to Trump's Surprising Dana White Proposal

Rosie O’Donnell is weighing in on President Donald Trump’s plea for UFC CEO Dana White to become the new White House press secretary. “I thought this was fake — apparently it’s not — he this the UFC - run by Dana White is going to save his fetid ass - #25thammendmentnow - he has lost his f***ing mind completely #gethimout,” O’Donnell, 64, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, November 7. Alongside her message, O’Donnell shared a screenshot of Trump’s Truth Social post announcing the commander-in-chief “offered the job” to White, 57. “I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States,” Trump, 80, wrote on Saturday. “I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our Country, of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris. We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job! President DONALD J. TRUMP.” After Trump’s post, White confirmed he’ll be discussing the role after attending a Zuffa boxing event in London. "I'm flying to Washington, D.C., right now," White said, adding whether he was seriously considering Trump’s job offer. "I've got a lot of jobs already.” When asked to share "some of the conversations" he's had with Trump about the role, White replied, "No. I'm going to meet with him. We have a meeting on Monday so I'm sure I'll have more to talk about." One month earlier, Katie Zacharia resigned from the job after just five days. Zacharia, 41, has since publicly asked for another chance to work for Trump. "I would love to work for him again in that capacity or another capacity,” Zacharia told Piers Morgan Uncensored in October. “Again, he is the most consequential president in history, and I have always been a history buff. I have watched what he’s done for this country, and it will secure the futures of my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. So, if I am asked to serve, even in a capacity that is not as rewarding, perhaps, I will absolutely step up to that.” Karoline Leavitt, meanwhile, left the job in August after welcoming her daughter with husband Nicholas Riccio in May. (Leavitt and Riccio are also parents to 2-year-old son Niko.)

Candace Cameron Bure Embraces Grandmotherhood: Why She's Not Sharing Baby Pics New

Candace Cameron Bure Embraces Grandmotherhood: Why She's Not Sharing Baby Pics

Candace Cameron Bure is in her grandmother era — or “CandyGram” era, as she prefers to be called. “I want nothing more than to post pictures of two of the cutest babies you’ll ever see, my grandchildren,” Cameron Bure, 50, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, November 7, alongside a photo of herself peering into a stroller. “I scroll through pictures of them all day long and just smile at their little faces.” Candace and her husband, Valeri Bure, first became grandparents in September when their son Lev Bure’s wife, Elliott Bure, gave birth to son Bond 10 weeks early. The next month, Candace’s daughter, Natasha Bure Perry, revealed she welcomed daughter Winnie with husband Steven Perry. (Candace and Valeri, 52, are also parents of son Maksim Bure, 24.) “My daughter and daughter-in-law send me daily pics when I can’t see them in person,” the Full House alum added on Saturday. “It’s the BEST!!” Candace further noted that she wouldn’t share baby photos via social media “for privacy.” Lev, 26, and Natasha, 28, and their respective spouses have since been soaking in their newborn bliss after Bond and Winnie’s arrivals into the growing family. “I have been nothing short of in awe of you these past two weeks,” Bradley, 27, offered praise to Natasha in an Instagram tribute last month. “The mental and physical toughness you’ve shown, and everything pregnancy and childbirth have put your body through, is something I genuinely can’t wrap my head around.” He continued at the time, “There’s not a man in this world who wouldn’t have completely lost it 20 minutes into what you’ve had to endure. But through all of it, the most incredible part has been watching the love and excitement you have for our daughter. Even at 4 in the morning, running on no sleep, you somehow still manage to be so excited to wake up and feed her.” Further calling Natasha a “real-life hero,” Steven noted that the actress is already a great mother. “Tash, thank you for being the best mom I could have ever asked for our daughter,” the Disney Channel alum gushed. “Watching you become a mother has somehow made me love you even more than I thought was possible. You are the strongest person I know, and our little girl has absolutely no idea how lucky she is to have you.” Candace replied in the comments section, writing, “You two were made for each other. Bradley and Natasha, I love you so much. Proud CandyGram.”

Hugh Jackman's Heartfelt Tribute at Michigan Game Leaves Fans Buzzing New

Hugh Jackman's Heartfelt Tribute at Michigan Game Leaves Fans Buzzing

Hugh Jackman took his role as honorary captain of the University of Michigan Wolverines seriously — just ask his girlfriend, Sutton Foster. “From one Wolverine to the others on the @uofmichigan football team,” Jackman, 58, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, November 7, referring to his beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe character. “I’m beyond stoked to be your honorary captain tomorrow! BTW — Is it a simple mistake that I haven’t received the playbook yet, on purpose?!?” Jackman and Foster, 51, were present for Saturday’s game, dressed in matching Michigan hoodies, jeans and team hats. Jackman, for his part, paired his ensemble with a jersey emblazoned with the No. 48. “I’m gonna wear this jersey, some of you know this number,” he told the team ahead of kickoff, per social media footage. “You may know what this represents [or] you may know this story.” The No. 48 on the back of Jackman’s T-shirt paid homage to former President Gerald Ford, who was the 48th commander-in-chief. “That is not why I’m wearing this jersey. In 1936, Gerald Ford was playing with Michigan [and] his best mate on the team was Willis Ward,” Jackman explained. “Willis Ward was a Black man, who was the star of the team. They were best friends, they say ‘best friends for life.’” Jackman further recalled Michigan’s 1936 game against Georgia Tech, where the visiting team threatened not to play if Ward was on the field. “At the time, the sporting director for the U of M said, ‘Alright,’ they benched him,” Jackman noted. “Gerald Ford was so incensed that his best friend, a Black man, was benched. He wrote to his dad and said, ‘I’m leaving this university.’ He went to the sporting director and he said, ‘I will not play in this game.’” He continued, “It became a whole thing. Willis Ward pulled Gerald Ford aside and he said, ‘You are playing and you know why? Because you’re going to go out there and you’re gonna beat them.’ He might have said a few other words that I don’t want to say, and that’s exactly what happened the next day. They stayed best friends for the rest of their lives.” Jackman explained that he told the Michigan players Ford’s story as one of “character and standing up for what matters.” “Ultimately, [the story is] about sticking up for your teammates, about sticking up for that teammate who was next to you,” the Deadpool star stated, noting the crooked “4” in the Ford jersey is a “memento” to his lifelong friendship with Ward. “No matter what the stakes are, do what is right and you back your teammates. To me, I hear that story and I guess to me, that’s what it is to be a Wolverine.” Despite Jackman’s heartfelt pregame speech, the team lost 6-15.

Justin Timberlake Reveals Truth Behind 'What Goes Around' Amid Britney Rumors New

Justin Timberlake Reveals Truth Behind 'What Goes Around' Amid Britney Rumors

Justin Timberlake is finally addressing years-long speculation that his 2006 hit song "What Goes Around... Comes Around" was written about his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears. "Maybe I should dispel a rumor at this point," Timberlake, 45, teased during a Thursday, November 5, interview with Complex's Re-Rank. Fans have long suspected that Timberlake wrote "What Goes Around... Comes Around" as a pseudo-sequel to 2002 single "Cry Me a River", which is widely interpreted to be a shady reaction to his split from Spears, 44, that same year. "Is this the way it's really going down? Is this how we say goodbye? Should have known better when you came around. That you were gonna make me cry," Timberlake sings in the FutureSex/LoveSounds track. "It's breaking my heart to watch you run around. 'Cause I know that you're living a lie. But that's okay, baby, 'cause in time you will find … what goes around, goes around, goes around comes all the way back around." In this week's interview, Timberlake suggested that "What Goes Around... Comes Around" was actually based on a friend's experience in a bad relationship. "[The rumor] has gone around forever, which is like, [the song] is not a personal story from mine," he said. "It’s actually a personal story from a friend. I asked permission.” Timberlake recalled that a pal was "just going through it and he was telling me what had happened." "I said, ‘Do you mind if I write about this?’ And I quote, my friend said, ‘Yeah, torch that bitch. What goes around comes around.’ And I was like, ‘I have to go. Thank you,'" he quipped. Timberlake recalled that the lyrics to "What Goes Around... Comes Around" flowed out of him in "damn near 20 minutes," adding that he'd rank the track as "one or two" in his discography. "The interlude that goes with it … and then you put the video with it, there’s a 10-minute video we shot for it, like this just hit on all cylinders for me," he said. Spears acknowledged in her 2023 memoir The Woman in Me that she cheated on Timberlake with choreographer Wade Robson during their three-year relationship, though she alleged that her ex-boyfriend was also unfaithful. The "Toxic" singer subsequently "apologized for some of the things [she] wrote about" in her autobiography before walking back the statement days later. "Someeone told me someone was talking s*** about me on the streets !!! Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time ??? I’m not sorry," she wrote via Instagram in February 2024. In January 2024, Timberlake defiantly told told a New York City concert crowd that he was going to “apologize to absolutely f***ing nobody.” Fans may learn more about Timberlake's split from Spears in an upcoming four-part Apple TV+ docuseries about his life in career, slated to debut in December. Acclaimed documentarian Fisher Stevens has directed the project, which will reportedly feature an interview with Janet Jackson about her and Timberlake's scandalous 2004 Super Bowl performance.

The Little Boy's Book Mishap: Why It's More Puzzling Than You Think New

The Little Boy's Book Mishap: Why It's More Puzzling Than You Think

Here is a simple-looking puzzle that may be harder than you think.A little boy was playing with a book at home.He was not reading the story or looking at the pictures.Instead, he started tearing out some pages from the book. His mother later found that six page numbers were missing. They were pages 7, 8, 100, 101, 222, and 223.Now, here is the interesting question. How many pages were actually torn out?Take a moment to look at the numbers and think carefully before choosing your answer. There are five possible answers.A: 6B: 3C: 7D: 5E: 4At first, answer A may seem like the obvious choice. After all, the boy tore out pages 7, 8, 100, 101, 222, and 223.That is six different page numbers. But this puzzle is not simply about counting numbers. We need to understand how pages are arranged in a normal book.A book is usually made of sheets of paper. Each sheet has two sides, and each side has a page number. This means that two consecutive page numbers can be printed on the front and back of the same sheet. For example, pages 7 and 8 are on opposite sides of one sheet of paper. So, when the boy tears out page 7 and page 8, he actually removes only one physical sheet. That is the first important detail. Now, let’s look at pages 100 and 101.These two pages are next to each other when we open the book. However, they are on two different sheets of paper.Page 100 is on the back of the sheet containing page 99, while page 101 is on the front of the next sheet, which has page 102 on its back. Therefore, tearing out pages 100 and 101 means removing two sheets. The same thing happens with pages 222 and 223.They are facing each other in the open book, but they belong to two different sheets. So, removing these two pages also means removing two sheets. Now, let’s put everything together.Pages 7 and 8 belong to one sheet.Pages 100 and 101 belong to two separate sheets.Pages 222 and 223 also belong to two separate sheets. That gives us:1 sheet for pages 7 and 8.2 sheets for pages 100 and 101.2 sheets for pages 222 and 223.In total, the boy removed five physical sheets of paper. Therefore, the correct answer is D: 5.This puzzle reminds us that sometimes the easiest-looking questions require us to think beyond the obvious answer. Before counting, we should understand exactly what we are counting!

Why 'Little Rascals' Star Bug Hall's GoFundMe is Stirring Up Emotions New

Why 'Little Rascals' Star Bug Hall's GoFundMe is Stirring Up Emotions

Brandon “Bug” Hall is reaching out for a helping hand as he and his wife prepare to welcome their sixth baby. The former child star, 41, launched a GoFundMe campaign on Thursday, November 5, in an attempt to raise funds to cover expenses associated with their expanding brood and to help finish setting up their new home. Hall shared via the GoFundMe campaign that he was initially hesitant to create the fundraiser but he and his wife, Jill Degroff, had reached the point where he felt it was necessary. “It's now six years since I self-cancelled, and I have avoided doing one of these in all that time. I always said this was my choice, and so I didn't want to offload the glorious burden of it unless there was no other choice. Well here we are,” Hall, who is best known for his role as Alfalfa in The Little Rascals, wrote. Hall shared that he and his family were working hard towards finding their feet in their new property in rural Arkansas but challenges had arisen. “We've made it onto the new land in record time, but I'm a few materials short of having things working right, and I've fallen a little behind on the few bills we have (phone, propane for the camper, and an unexpected electric hookup service fee),” he explained. Hall continued, “We're all overjoyed to be where we are, and we're even enjoying roughing it, but baby six is less than a month away, and I really need some help getting the last few things buttoned up beforehand. The father-of-five said he wanted to get everything sorted before his wife gives birth and acknowledge that he isn’t the only one doing it tough at the moment. “My hope is to finalize everything here over the next two weeks so I can take some work until the baby arrives,” he wrote. “Times are hard for everyone, and I'm no more deserving than anyone else, but I ask in your charity that you help where you can, whether monetarily, by sharing this, or by prayer and sacrifice for the Hall-Barnetts of the Holy Cross.” The GoFundMe’s stated goal was set at $2,000. At time of publication, Hall had received more than $9,000 from 102 donations. Hall’s campaign comes after he was arrested in Ohio in April after failing to appear in court, according to multiple reports. The actor missed a December 31, 2024, court date tied to an October 29, 2024, traffic citation for driving without liability insurance. He was charged with failure to appear. Hall left Hollywood behind in 2020 in a bid to embrace a self-described “radical Catholic extremist” lifestyle off-the-grid as he took a “vow of poverty,” according to the Daily Mail.
