Marina Squerciati Hints at Baby Talk and Burzek's Future in Chicago P.D. New

Marina Squerciati Hints at Baby Talk and Burzek's Future in Chicago P.D.

Chicago P.D.’s Intelligence Unit is about to get a new member with the arrival of Kevin Atwater’s baby — but are married couple Kim Burgess and Adam Ruzek ready for their own bundle of joy? “I don't know that Burgess has baby fever,” Marina Squerciati exclusively told Us of her character’s headspace during season 14. “I think Burgess deserves a baby, but who knows?” Squerciati, 42 — who has played Burgess since the show’s 2014 premiere — noted that during the upcoming Wednesday, October 14, episode of the hit NBC series, the detective does look at Atwater’s (LaRoyce Hawkins) baby pictures and says, “Oh, this baby’s so cute.” The actress confessed, “But I feel like I do that, too. So who knows?” Squerciati noted that after Burgess and Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) experienced a season 7 pregnancy loss, a new little one could be just what they need. (The couple already share an adopted daughter Makayla.) “Yes, she should have a baby. Let's just do that,” she declared. During the season 14 premiere on Wednesday, October 7, Atwater received a call that his girlfriend, Tasha Fox (Karen Obilom), was in labor. Ruzek, his longtime BFF, grabbed the keys and decided to drive him to the hospital to meet his newborn. Chicago P.D. showrunner Gwen Sigan exclusively told Us that next week viewers will get to meet Atwater’s baby and see him as a father before the actor’s exit from the series this season. (News broke in July that Hawkins is leaving the series after being an OG character.) While Atwater’s departure is bittersweet, Squerciati reassured Us that fans have a lot to look forward to for Burgess and Ruzek as they continue their lives as partners in and out of the CPD. “Burzek has moved to a different house [and a] new neighborhood. They've been in the same, you know, crumbling down house for a while,” the actress said. “And I think Burgess is really unhappy. But she, like, pushed for this. I don't know that she feels comfortable.” Squerciati joked, “She also might be sort of losing her touch on reality or her grip. But you know, who's to say? I only know so much. I don't seem that great. I will tell you that.” When it comes to Burgess’ relationship with her husband, Squerciati assured Us that they are in a good place. “I think we're smooth sailing,” she said. “I think we've been bumpy for 13 years. The audience deserves smooth sailing with, like, a dash of Burgess' mind, like, on the edge.” Squerciati also teased that outside of Burgess’ romance, she will be challenged at work this season. “This year, I go undercover in a way that I've never done before, and that was fun to explore,” she shared. “[I] certainly sink my teeth into [it].” Chicago P.D. airs on NBC Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET.

Can You Solve the Mystery of the Headless Duck? New

Can You Solve the Mystery of the Headless Duck?

So, take a close look at this main picture. What do you see first?A duck, right? But something is very, very wrong with this picture. The poor duck is missing something super important. Can you see what it is?That’s right! Its head is completely gone!Where the head should be, there is just a simple dotted outline. The CluesIt looks like we are in charge of finding the correct replacement! The duck’s body is already here, resting on a small wooden log.Notice the beautiful feathers on its body: it has a mix of brown, grey, and white.See the bright green patch on its wing? And those very distinct orange feet? These details are key to solving the mystery. We cannot just put any head on it.We need to find the one head that truly belongs to this body. The CandidatesWe are in luck, because we have four choices to pick from.Look at the bottom of the picture. There are four different duck heads, labeled A, B, C, and D.Each head is a candidate, but only one is the right fit.Let’s examine our options.Head A has a vibrant, glossy green head.It also has a very white collar at the base of its neck. And its beak is bright yellow. This looks very sharp. But is it this duck’s head?Head B is entirely white. Its beak is bright orange, similar to the duck’s feet.A white-headed duck is a very common type. But when you look at the body, is that the look we are going for?Think about how colors work together. Now, look at Head C. Wow!This one is really fancy and colorful. It has stripes of white, black, and orange all over its face. And the eye is an interesting red color. It looks like a more rare or exotic type of duck.Does this complex pattern match the body’s more classic feather look? Finally, we have Head D.This head is covered in mottled brown feathers, with small black flecks. Its beak has patches of orange, black, and yellow. It looks like a very natural camouflage pattern.Does this brown blend in with the main body, or is it too subtle? The Big DecisionNow the tough part begins.Look from the main body, on its little log, to the four heads below.Compare everything.Don’t just think about what head you like best.Think about which head completes the full, natural bird.Imagine putting each head onto the neck on the body.Which one looks like it was always meant to be there?Think about common water birds you have seen before. This is a very specific type of duck.Your Turn! So, which one is it?Take your time. There is no rush.Is it Head A, B, C, or D?Choose the option you believe with your heart.Lock in your answer! When you have made your final decision, let me know.Good luck!ANSWER: A

Christa Pike's Shocking First Words After Her Botched Execution New

Christa Pike's Shocking First Words After Her Botched Execution

Christa Pike's lawyers have revealed her first words upon waking up after her botched execution . Pike, now 50, was supposed to die on September 30th, but things didn't go to plan and she ended up in the hospital. Christa Pike's lawyers give update on courthouse steps As the discussion about what happens next to Pike continues, her attorneys traveled to the courthouse in Nashville to make a case for how she should be treated. They argued that she should be given access to contact with family, friends and legal representatives, as well as asking that she be unshackled from the handcuffs that she is currently in. Not much is known about her current physical condition, although her attorneys did give a full account as they understand it. One of her representatives, attorney Randy Spivey, said: "On Monday night it was our understanding that Christa was brain dead and that life support would be removed the following day. "On Tuesday, to the shock of everyone... Christa woke up and began talking . "I do not have an explanation for what happened between Monday night and Tuesday morning, but what we do know is that Christa has a long road to recovery. She has a blood clot in one of her arms; she has pneumonia, she is not able to swallow yet so she has not eaten, she cannot move either of her arms, both of her arms and hands are tremndoisly swollen and we do not know what if any functions she will regain in her arms. "That is just the physical toll that all of this has taken. "Neither we nor Christa have even begun to process what this means for her mental health, Christa was at peace, she helped the execution team find what they thought was venous access, she was kind and polite as they worked for an hour stabbing her arm with needle after needle and then she felt the burn of the pentobarbital. "Then she woke up in hospital surrounded by people she didn't know, with a tube down her neck. "We don't know the toll all of this will take, but Christa is a survivor and we remain hopeful. "All of this was foreseeable and foreseen; what happened to Christa is exactly what the state was warned would happen and there are so many questions that need to be answered - not by Christa, but by the state of Tennessee. "One of those questions has to be, how much suffering is enough?" When pressed for her first words upon waking, he added: "I was not in the room when she woke up so I don't want to speculate too much, but our understanding was that the first thing she said was 'where am I and who are you?' "There is still a lot of confusion, so I will say that." "She has asked about several people; she has asked about her team, she has asked about the victims family, she is angry and confused about everything right now." Former Charles Manson follower Patricia Krenwinkel, who is serving a life prison term for her role in the 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders, has again been recommended for parole, state officials confirmed today.Krenwinkel, 78, was preliminarily granted parole Tuesday at her 18th subsequent suitability hearing, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.“All grants of parole are proposed decisions and become final only after a thorough and comprehensive review by the Board of Parole Hearings and the Governor,'” CDCR officials said in a statement.Patricia Krenwinkel appears at a parole hearing at the California Institution for Women in Corona, Calif. on Jan. 20, 2011. The review includes risk-assessment tools, evaluations by forensic psychologists, the inmate’s prison record, parole plans and impact statements. The preliminary decision in Krenwinkel’s case is subject to a 120-day review by the Board of Parole Hearings. Because she was convicted of murder, the governor then has an additional 30 days to review the decision and may allow it to stand or reverse it.If the governor reverses the parole decision, Krenwinkel would be scheduled for another hearing within 18 months of Tuesday’s hearing, according to CDCR.

Why This Simple Math Puzzle About Sarah Is Stumping Everyone New

Why This Simple Math Puzzle About Sarah Is Stumping Everyone

Have you ever seen a math problem that looks extremely simple at first glance? Many people answer it in just a few seconds without thinking carefully. However, most of them end up with the wrong answer!Let us take a close look at the puzzle about Sarah. The puzzle says: Sarah was asked her age. She answered: 110 – 10 x 10 + 10. How old is Sarah? At first, this looks like a basic arithmetic problem from primary school. To find Sarah’s real age, we need to solve the math expression following the correct order of operations. In mathematics, there is a fundamental rule called standard order of operations. This rule tells us which calculation to perform first, second, and last. The rule states that multiplication and division must always be done before addition and subtraction. When operations have the same priority level, we simply calculate from left to right.Let us write down the full expression again: 110 – 10 x 10 + 10.Now, let us follow the correct mathematical steps together.First, we must look for any multiplication or division in the expression. We see the multiplication part: 10 x 10.We calculate 10 x 10, which equals 100.Now, we replace 10 x 10 with 100 in our original expression. The expression becomes: 110 – 100 + 10.Second, we look at the remaining operations, which are subtraction and addition.Since subtraction and addition have the exact same priority level, we work strictly from left to right. The first operation on the left is 110 – 100.We calculate 110 – 100, which gives us 10.Now, our expression simplifies to: 10 + 10.Finally, we perform the last remaining operation: 10 + 10.When we add 10 and 10 together, we get 20.Therefore, the final and correct result of the expression is 20.This means that Sarah is 20 years old!Why do so many people get this puzzle wrong? Many people make the mistake of solving the operations straight from left to right without thinking. They calculate 110 – 10 first to get 100.Then, they multiply 100 x 10 to get 1000.Finally, they add 10 to get 1010, which is completely incorrect!Other people make a different mistake by doing the addition at the very end first. They add 10 + 10 at the end to get 20, and then subtract 100 – 20, which is also wrong.Math rules exist so that everyone in the world gets the exact same correct answer.By following the standard order of operations step by step, we avoid all confusion. Now you know how to solve this famous logic puzzle correctly.Sarah is proudly 20 years old!

Plane Passenger's Outrage as Family Hijacks Premium Legroom Space

See more of our coverage in your search results. This is not what they meant by “standing on business.”A male passenger who paid a premium price for an exit row seat with extra legroom was appalled after an oblivious family invaded his space for the duration of his flight. He detailed this bizarre flightmare in a viral post on the Dull Men’s Fun Club page on Facebook. The passenger had reportedly been flying across Europe with his sister and niece. They had paid an extra €30 ($35) each for the more spacious seating accommodations — which seemed worth it given the four-hour flight time, according to his post. However, the flyer’s dreams of a comfy flight soon crashed and burned.“A dad and his two kids decided that the emergency door window right next to us was the most fascinating thing they’d ever seen,” wrote the poster. “They stood there almost the entire flight, leaning over us, pointing, chatting loudly, and completely blocking the space we paid extra for.” This flyer couldn’t believe the audacity of this oblivious family. People in the comment section of the flyer’s Facebook post were just as angry as he was. AlenKadr – stock.adobe.com“I paid £400 ($538) for extra legroom in two seats from Manchester to New York only to find the space was going to be the holding queue for the toilets,” recounted one. This violation certainly seemed like a departure from the normal space invasions in the sky, which have entailed everything from seat squatting to not keeping one’s feet to themselves. One mom sat in a row with her kids and said to her kids: “Don’t unpack yet,” relayed a witness who detailed this encounter in a viral Reddit post. “Mom is anxiously refreshing the seating chart in the app.”They weren’t trying to upgrade — but more so attempting to game the seating system.“They were watching the seating chart like hawks, hoping the seats don’t get booked, waiting for the door to close, because they wanted to take over an empty row!” the poster added. And the scrappy squatters succeeded with this seat-stealing tactic.

Mother of Russian Scientist Challenges Official Story on Plague Death

See more of our coverage in your search results. The mother of the Russian scientist who died in a suspected plague outbreak in Siberia denies the reports that her daughter was infected after breaking a test tube — and instead suggested Russian officials “simply let my daughter die.”Daria Shipilova, 28,  had been working at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute of Siberia and the Far East when she fell ill and died in the hospital on Oct. 2 after reportedly dropping a test tube containing the deadly pathogen. However, her mother Svetlana Shipilova, a medical professional, told Russian outlet Glubina that she was not buying that narrative, claiming it’s simply impossible to break a test tube and insisting she knows “the truth,” the Telegraph reported. Daria Shipilova, 28, a laboratory assistant at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute of Siberia and the Far East in Irkutsk, is reported by Russian media as the country’s first fatal pneumonic plague case in years. Daria Shipilova/e2w“I know the truth,” she said. “I’m having to fend off stupid acquaintances who believed all this – the clever ones didn’t believe it, of course.“Not even all medical professionals understand it’s impossible to break a test tube like that,” she continued. “Even if you fling it at the wall. Only an amateur could say something like that.“Even hypothetically, you simply can’t spill what’s inside or break the tube – they’re that well protected,” she insisted.“They simply let my daughter die.” Specialists work in a laboratory as part of anti-epidemic measures during the 2019 Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk, Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Anna Leigh Wilson Sparks Controversy with Co-Star Flirtation on TV

“The Challenge: Cutthroat” star Anna Leigh Wilson owned up to flirting with her co-star, Leo Dionicio, on the show while her husband, Coy Wilson, was at home. “I did something pretty controversial on national television,” Anna Leigh, 31, exclusively told Page Six after she was eliminated on Wednesday’s episode.“I made a mistake,” she continued, “but also I’ve recognized that accountability doesn’t mean that I have to plead guilty to the director’s cut that everybody else wrote for me.”“The Challenge: Cutthroat” star Anna Leigh Wilson spoke to Page Six about flirting with Leo Dionicio on the show while her husband, Coy Wilson, was at home. Page SixWilson (seen here on the reality show) noted she “did something pretty controversial,” adding, “I made a mistake.” Jonne Roriz/Paramount+Wilson, who has been married since 2020, sparked backlash for flirting with Dionicio (seen here) on an episode earlier this season. Jonne Roriz/Paramount+Earlier in the season, Wilson — who has been married to Coy since 2020 — had an intimate conversation with Dionicio, where they both admitted they were “horny.” Dionicio also told Wilson she’s his “eye candy” and he was “trying to f—ing control” himself. After the scene went viral, Wilson released a statement on Instagram admitting she “crossed the line” and claimed she apologized to her husband after she got home from filming.Wilson similarly told Page Six that she clued her husband into what happened with Dionicio “the moment I got my phone.”“There was no surprise there,” she said. “From my perspective, I’ll own every embarrassing thing that I actually did this season.
