Donald Trump's Old Tweet About Russell Brand Goes Viral After Guilty Verdict

Share Post

An old tweet from President Donald Trump has resurfaced, following news that Russell Brand has been found guilty of rape and sexual assault charges. The British actor appeared at London's Southwark Crown Court today (November 5) after two days of deliberations, as a jury delivered a verdict on all counts. Brand, 51, was found guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault.

He was found not guilty on two other counts of rape and one of attempted indecent assault, as a judge told the Get Him to the Greek star to expect a 'significant custodial term'. Mr Justice Bennathan added: "My current view is that I therefore have to remand you into custody," with Brand set to be sentenced on Monday. Katy Perry and Russell Brand were married from 2010 until 2012.

But by December 2011, Brand filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, with the divorce being finalized in July 2012. A couple of years later, Brand was the subject of a Twitter feud started by Donald Trump for no particular reason.
