Jon Gosselin's Heartbreaking Confession About His Estranged Daughters

Share Post

Jon Gosselin is opening up about his estrangement from his eldest daughters, Mady and Cara. “I haven’t seen Mady and Cara in, like, forever. I wouldn't be able to pick them out on the street,” Jon, 49, said on the Tuesday, November 3, episode of the “Legally Goff” podcast. “I have pictures of them, but I still wouldn't be able to pick them out on the street. That's how much I haven't seen them.” Jon shares twins Mady and Cara, both 26, with ex-wife Kate Gosselin. The exes, who divorced in 2009, also share sextuplets Collin, Joel, Aaden, Hannah, Alexis and Leah, all 22. (Kate, 51, was granted primary custody of all eight children amid their divorce. Jon later filed and was granted custody of Collin amid the Special Forces star’s claims that Kate institutionalized him for alleged behavioral issues. Hannah also lived with Jon during high school, but she still remained in contact with Kate.) As for his relationships with Mady, Cara, Joel, Aaden, Alexis and Leah, Jon believes he was kept out from their lives.

“2018 is the last time I saw Joel, Aiden, Alexis and Leah. I saw them one more time [after that],” he recalled on Tuesday’s episode. “If you read in Collin's book, he had a visitation, a forced visitation, that did not go very well and it was very heartbreaking. I did see them again in person, but I haven't seen them since ‘cause they moved.” Jon further claimed that he missed most of his kids’ graduations and proms. “I was alienated from all that stuff. I don't know anything about my twins. If they have boyfriends or girlfriends or what favorite color they have now, if they drive a car, I know nothing,” he alleged. “I've been alienated since they were 13 years old, and alienation, like, silence. I've never heard their voice.”

He continued, “One day, I was an all-active everyday parent, and it's upsetting, I know — and people are going to hate hearing this, but I was just cut out of their lives. They, I guess, believe the narrative of TLC that I'm a s***bag, and that I don't want to see them.” Mady and Cara have never publicly addressed their estrangement from Jon, who believes they might have been listening to criticism from their mother. (Kate has long denied Jon and Collin’s accusations about her parenting.)
