Dancing With the Stars Shocker: Fan-Favorite Couple Sent Home on Disney Night New

Dancing With the Stars Shocker: Fan-Favorite Couple Sent Home on Disney Night

Magic entered the Dancing With the Stars ballroom for season 35’s Disney Night — but one couple's dreams didn't come true. With performances inspired by Disney stories and their Broadway adaptations, the remaining eight couples took the stage during the Monday, November 2, episode and wowed guest judge Cynthia Erivo. “I just thought that was the most joyful thing ever to start this with,” Erivo, 39, told Amber Glenn and pro Pasha Pashkov after their quickstep to "A Star Is Born" from Hercules. "The strength that you both have is just glorious to watch. ... Well done." After earning a perfect score during last week's Horror Movie Night, Harry Shum Jr. and pro Jenna Johnson nailed their routine again — receiving another whopping 40 out of 40 from Erivo and judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough. "Honestly, the thing that I am really focused on is dance to express not to impress," Shum said. "If people are impressed by what we express, then come on. Thank you. That's my north star." While Jenna Dewan and pro Val Chmerkovskiy received the second perfect score of the night, Shum and Johnson were granted immunity from next week's dance off due to having a higher combined score throughout the season. Team dances also made a return to the ballroom, as cohost Alfonso Ribeiro competed with captain Tatyana Ali and pro Jan Ravnik, Maura Higgins and pro Mark Ballas, Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa, and Glenn and Pashkov for a routine to Zootopia 2’s “Zoo." They earned a 36 out of 40. Cohost Julianne Hough then laced up her dancing shoes for High School Musical’s “We’re All In This Together” with captain Connor Wood and pro Rylee Arnold, Ezra Frech and pro Daniella Karagach, Dewan and Chmerkovskiy and Shum and Johnson. The team received a perfect 40 out of 40. While each couple delivered performances worthy of the Broadway stage, the show ultimately bid farewell to Stiles and Sosa. "It's been an incredible experience. I pulled things out of myself that I didn't realize were there. Ezra is just an amazing person. I'm going to be sad not to see him every day," Stiles said while becoming emotional. Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Scroll down to see each couple’s scores from Disney Night:

What My Neighbor Revealed About My Ex-MIL Shocked Me New

What My Neighbor Revealed About My Ex-MIL Shocked Me

I took in my ex-MIL after she broke her leg—but when she moved out, my neighbor whispered, “There’s something you need to know about her.”My ex-mother-in-law, Beverly, had always been kind to me, even after my marriage ended.Five years ago, I divorced her son, Wade, after discovering he’d been having an affair with a woman from his office. When Beverly found out, she was furious.“I’m ashamed of what my son did to you, Maren. You deserved so much better.”She still loved Wade, of course. He was her son, and I never expected her to stop loving him because of what happened between us.But she never defended his behavior, and I appreciated that.We remained on good terms, occasionally calling each other or meeting for coffee. My only condition was that we never discussed Wade, and she respected that. Then one Tuesday afternoon, Beverly called me crying.“Honey, I’m sorry to bother you, but I broke my leg last week, and I’m having a terrible time managing on my own.”“Beverly, why didn’t you tell me? Can’t one of your kids help?”“I’ve asked all three. They all have their reasons why they can’t take me in.”Wade couldn’t take time off work. His younger brother lived in a small apartment, and their sister had two young children and a house full of stairs.I knew Beverly hated asking anyone for help. She’d raised three children while working long shifts at a grocery store, and even after retiring, she insisted on doing everything herself. The thought of her struggling alone made my heart ache.“Listen, why don’t you stay with me for a while? At least until you’re back on your feet.”“Oh, sweetheart, I couldn’t possibly ask you to do that.”“You’re not asking. I’m offering.”She hesitated before accepting. Two days later, Wade dropped her off at my house. He carried her suitcase into the hallway, glanced around, and gave me an uncomfortable smile.“Nice to see you, Maren.”I hadn’t seen him in nearly a year.“You too. I’ve got everything ready for your mother.”He nodded, kissed Beverly on the cheek, and left without offering to help with anything else.I watched his car disappear down the driveway.Beverly sighed.“I’m sorry about all this, honey.”“Don’t be. Let’s get you settled.”I’d moved a small table beside the guest bed for her medications and cleared enough space for her walker. I even borrowed a shower chair from a coworker. For the first week, everything went smoothly.I made breakfast before work, prepared dinner when I got home, and took Beverly to her appointments whenever I could. In the evenings, we watched old movies and talked about everything from gardening to the neighbors. She was easy company.Sometimes I caught her watching me with an expression I couldn’t quite understand. One evening, while I was washing dishes, she said, “You’ve been very good to me, Maren.”I laughed.“You’ve thanked me about twenty times today.”“I know. I just don’t think you realize how much it means.”I dried my hands and kissed her cheek.“You’re family, Beverly. That didn’t change because Wade and I got divorced.”Her eyes filled with tears, but she quickly looked away.At the time, I thought she was overwhelmed by the kindness.I had no idea what she was hiding.During the second week, Beverly began asking strange questions about my schedule.“What time will you be home tomorrow?”“Probably around six. Why?”“Oh, nothing. I was just wondering whether I should wait for dinner.”The next day, she asked again. Then, one Thursday, a meeting at work was canceled, and I came home almost two hours early.I found Beverly sitting on the guest bed with papers spread across her lap.The moment she saw me, she quickly gathered them together.“Maren! You’re home already?”“Yeah. Everything okay?”“Of course, sweetheart.”I noticed an old shoebox beside her pillow. Its corners were worn, and a faded green ribbon was tied around the lid.“What’s that?”Beverly glanced at the box.“Oh, just some old things I’ve been sorting.”She reached for her walker.“Would you mind making me a cup of tea?”I did as she asked. But something about the way she’d covered those papers bothered me.A few days later, I saw my neighbor, Nola, leaving through the side gate with a shopping bag tucked under her arm.She stopped when she noticed me.“Everything all right?” I asked.“Yes, dear. Beverly just asked me to help her with something.”I thanked her for looking after Beverly while I was working.Nola nodded, but she seemed unusually nervous.I didn’t think much of it until another evening when I came home early and found Beverly whispering into her phone. She immediately ended the call.“Who was that?”“Just Nola, sweetheart.”I frowned.“Is something wrong?”“No, no. Everything’s fine.”I wanted to believe her. After everything I’d been through with Wade, I hated the feeling that someone was keeping secrets from me.But Beverly had never given me a reason to distrust her.So I let it go.Four weeks after she moved in, her doctor finally said she could return home with some part-time assistance.I packed her suitcase and helped her into Wade’s car. Before leaving, Beverly wrapped her arms around me.“You have no idea what this means to me.”I hugged her back.“Call me if you need anything, okay?”She nodded, holding on a little longer than usual. For a moment, I thought she wanted to say something else.Instead, she kissed my cheek and got into the car. That afternoon, I was changing the sheets in the guest room when someone knocked on my front door.It was Nola. And she was holding the same old shoebox I’d seen beside Beverly’s bed.“I’m sorry, Maren,” she said quietly. “But there’s something you need to know about Beverly.”My stomach tightened.“What happened?”Nola stepped inside and lowered her voice.“She never wanted you to know the real reason she came to stay with you. She’d planned it all along.”I stared at her.“Planned what?”Nola looked down at the box.“Her broken leg was real, honey. And she really did need help. But before she ever called you, she came to me with this.”She placed the shoebox on my kitchen table.“She wanted to give something back to you. She just couldn’t bring herself to tell you where she’d found it.”I slowly untied the ribbon.Inside was a stack of yellowed recipe cards, a small photograph, and an envelope folded in half.I recognized the handwriting on the first card immediately. My grandmother’s.For several seconds, I couldn’t move. The card had a tiny brown stain near the corner and a faded note written in blue ink.Add another spoonful of sugar if Maren is helping. My eyes filled with tears.“Oh my God.”I carefully lifted the stack. There was Grandma’s peach cobbler, her Sunday biscuits, and the cinnamon rolls she’d made every Christmas morning.I’d thought those recipes were gone forever. My grandmother had raised me after my mother died, and cooking had been our favorite thing to do together. She never used expensive ingredients or complicated equipment. Most of her recipes were written on whatever paper she could find, usually with little notes squeezed into the margins. After she passed away, I kept every card in a small wooden recipe box. When Wade and I divorced, those cards were among the few possessions I desperately wanted to keep.I’d left him the furniture, the television, and almost everything we’d bought together. But I’d asked him to make sure Grandma’s recipe box was packed with my things. He promised he would. When I unpacked after moving, it was missing.Wade told me the movers must have misplaced it.I called the moving company three times. I searched every carton, went through the storage unit, and even visited the donation center where we’d sent our old furniture.Nothing.Eventually, I accepted that I’d lost the last little pieces of my grandmother’s handwriting. Now they were sitting on my kitchen table.“Nola,” I whispered, “where did Beverly get these?”She pulled out a chair.“From Wade.”I looked up.“What?”“Beverly found them in his garage a few months ago. He had a box of your old belongings hidden behind some Christmas decorations.”I stared at her.“He told me the movers lost them.”Nola nodded sadly.“Beverly confronted him. Apparently, he admitted he’d kept them after the divorce because he was angry with you.”I felt sick. For five years, I’d blamed myself for not packing those cards personally.I’d spent countless nights wondering whether I’d accidentally thrown away something Grandma had treasured. And all that time, Wade had known exactly where they were.“Why didn’t Beverly just tell me?”“She was ashamed of what her son had done. She thought if she returned the cards without explaining, you might believe they had simply turned up somewhere.”Nola gestured toward the box.“She asked me to hold it while she stayed here. Whenever you were at work, I’d bring it over so she could sort through everything and decide how to return it.”Suddenly, Beverly’s strange behavior made sense. The questions about my schedule. The nervous looks whenever I came home early. The shoebox that kept appearing and disappearing.“She wanted to leave it in your closet,” Nola continued. “She thought you might believe you’d overlooked it during the move.”“Then why didn’t she?”“Because she knew it would be another lie.”Nola wiped her eyes.“Yesterday, she told me she couldn’t do it. She wanted me to keep the box until she found the courage to tell you herself.”I looked at the envelope beneath the recipe cards. My name was written on the front.I opened it carefully.Inside was a letter I’d written to my grandmother near the end of my marriage.Grandma had already been gone for several years, but I still wrote to her sometimes when I felt lonely. The first line made my chest ache.Grandma, I don’t know why I keep apologizing to Wade when I haven’t done anything wrong.I remembered writing those words. That was before I discovered the affair, when Wade had started coming home late and acting irritated whenever I asked where he’d been. He’d accused me of being suspicious and difficult.I’d believed him.Near the bottom of the letter, I’d written:I wish you were here. Sometimes I feel like I’ve become someone you wouldn’t recognize.I pressed the paper against my chest.I couldn’t understand why Wade had kept something so private.Nola reached across the table and squeezed my hand.“I’m sorry, sweetheart.”After she left, I sat alone for a long time. Then I picked up my phone and called Beverly. She answered almost immediately.“Maren?”“Nola gave me the shoebox.”There was a long silence. Then I heard her begin to cry.“Oh, honey. I’m so sorry.”“Why didn’t you tell me?”“I wanted to. Every single day I was there, I wanted to.”I closed my eyes.“You watched me search for those recipes five years ago. You knew how much they meant to me.”“I know.”“Why would Wade do something like that?”Beverly’s voice shook.“He told me he was angry because you left him. He said he’d kept a few things that mattered to you because he wanted you to feel what it was like to lose something.”I swallowed hard.“He already made me lose enough.”“I know, sweetheart.”I could hear her crying.“When I found those cards, I was furious with him. But I was also ashamed. I’d raised him, and I couldn’t understand how he’d become someone capable of doing that to you.”“Beverly, you didn’t make him hide my things.”“No. But I hid the truth after I found them.”I looked down at the letter.“You could have brought them to me over coffee.”“I know. When I broke my leg and none of my children would help, I thought staying with you might give me the chance to return everything. I hoped you would offer, and you did.”She paused.“But then you were so kind to me. You cooked for me, drove me to appointments, and made me feel welcome. I became terrified that telling you would make you think I’d only come because of that box.”I took a slow breath.“Did you?”“No, honey. I needed your help. But I also hoped I could finally make things right.”I believed her.Still, it hurt that she’d spent four weeks watching me care for her while hiding something so important.“I need some time, Beverly.”“I understand.”After ending the call, I called Wade.He answered with his usual impatient tone.“What is it, Maren?”“Did you deliberately keep Grandma’s recipes when we divorced?”Silence. Then he sighed.“Mom had no business getting involved.”My hands began shaking.“You told me the movers lost them.”“They were just old pieces of paper.”“They belonged to my grandmother.”“I know that.”“Then why did you keep them?”He was quiet for a moment.“Because I was angry, okay? You were leaving, and I wanted to keep something you cared about. I didn’t think you’d still be upset about it five years later.”I stared at the wall.Five years ago, I would have cried and begged him to understand how much he’d hurt me.Instead, I asked one more question.“Did you read the letter?”He hesitated.“Some of it.”I felt my stomach drop.“That was private, Wade.”“We were married, Maren.”“And you still managed to make me feel completely alone.”He started to argue, but I ended the call.I had heard enough. The next morning, I drove to Beverly’s house. She opened the door with her walker and looked surprised to see me.“Maren?”“Can we talk?”She nodded and led me into the living room.We sat across from each other, with the shoebox resting on the coffee table.“I don’t blame you for what Wade did,” I told her. “But I need you to understand something.”She listened quietly.“When he betrayed me, I spent months feeling like I couldn’t trust anyone. You were one of the few people who made me feel I wasn’t imagining things.”Beverly wiped her eyes.“And then I kept another secret from you.”“Yes.”She lowered her head.“I was afraid you’d stop seeing me if you found out what my son had done.”I reached for her hand.“Beverly, I divorced Wade because of his choices. I didn’t stop caring about you because you’re his mother.”She started crying again.“But if we’re going to remain part of each other’s lives, I need you to be honest with me, even when the truth is uncomfortable.”“I promise.”I believed she meant it.I wasn’t ready to pretend the secrecy hadn’t hurt, but I didn’t want to lose her either. Before I left, Beverly asked about the recipes.“Have you tried making anything yet?”I shook my head.“Not yet. I haven’t been able to look through them without crying.”She smiled sadly.“Your grandmother must have been a wonderful woman.”“She was.”I looked down at the shoebox.“Maybe you can help me make her peach cobbler sometime.”Beverly’s face softened.“I’d love that.”Three weeks later, Beverly came over for Sunday lunch. Her leg had improved enough that she could stand at the kitchen counter for short periods, although she still used her walker when she got tired.Nola joined us.I spread Grandma’s recipe cards across the counter and found the peach cobbler recipe. The card was covered in her familiar handwriting.Beverly read the instructions aloud while Nola peeled the peaches.I measured the flour, trying to remember how Grandma used to do everything without checking the recipe twice. At one point, I added too much cinnamon.“Well, that’s going to be interesting,” Nola said.Beverly laughed.“Maybe your grandmother would approve.”“She definitely wouldn’t. She used to complain that I never measured anything properly.”We laughed together. When the cobbler came out of the oven, the edges were a little darker than Grandma’s had been. But the kitchen smelled exactly the way I remembered.I cut three generous servings and placed them on the table.Beverly took a bite.“Oh, Maren. That’s wonderful.”I smiled, although my eyes had filled with tears. For the first time in years, I felt as though a small part of Grandma had returned to my kitchen. After lunch, Beverly helped me put the recipe cards into a new wooden box I’d bought the week before. She picked up the peach cobbler card and studied it.“Your grandmother had beautiful handwriting.”“She did.”Then Beverly looked at me.“Thank you for letting me be here.”I placed my hand over hers.“I’m glad you came.”She smiled, and this time, neither of us needed to say anything else. Before she left, I slipped the cinnamon roll recipe into an envelope.“What’s this?” she asked.“A copy. You can help me make them at Christmas.”Beverly held the envelope carefully.“Are you sure?”I nodded. She hugged me, and I hugged her back.Later that evening, after everyone had gone home, I washed the dishes and returned Grandma’s recipe box to the kitchen shelf.I placed her old photograph beside it, the one Nola had found tucked beneath the cards.Grandma was standing in her kitchen, holding a pie, with flour on the front of her dress.I stood there looking at her for a while. Then I opened the recipe box and took out the card for her Christmas cinnamon rolls.I’d never made them without her before. But this year, I was going to try.

Karl Bushby's 31,000-Mile Adventure: The Homecoming That Took 28 Years New

Karl Bushby's 31,000-Mile Adventure: The Homecoming That Took 28 Years

Twenty-eight years. Four continents. Zero rides.Karl Bushby finally made it back to his mother’s doorstep Monday. The former British paratrooper, now 57, threw his arms around his tearful mom, Angela, on the pavement outside her modest row house in Hull, the same northern England home he strolled away from in 1998. A “Welcome Home Son” banner hung over the scene as reporters, gawkers and a documentary crew jammed the street.“They say it takes a village but literally it took a world to get me here,” Bushby told the crowd. “The kindness of strangers, so many, from individuals to nation states to get me back here today. I didn’t do this alone. There was a big team. The biggest team. Earth.”Karl Bushby, a 57-year-old former British paratrooper, finished his epic walk around the globe Monday when he reached his mother’s row house in Hull, England, the home he left in 1998. Getty ImagesNaturally, he finished on foot. He hiked across the Humber Bridge into his hometown.Crossing the Humber Bridge into East Yorkshire on Sunday, he was greeted by his father, his brothers, his 36-year-old son Adam, and his 12-year-old granddaughter, whom he was meeting for the very first time, the BBC reported. On Monday, he pulled into Queen Victoria Square in central Hull around 11 a.m., where hundreds packed a civic ceremony to greet him. The trek covered roughly 31,000 miles, four continents and 30 countries, and he never once let a vehicle carry him forward. Getty Images“I’m back,”  he said. “This is absolute madness.”  “Sorry to keep you waiting,” he cracked. “Is that it, is it done?”The whole saga traces back to a card from his dad. In the mid-1990s, Keith Bushby, himself an Army veteran, passed along a debate raging among his special forces pals over whether a man could hoof it from London to New York by way of the Bering land bridge, the ancient crossing some scientists believe early humans used to reach the Americas when seas ran lower.Bushby, who logged 12 years with the 3rd Battalion of the Parachute Regiment, quit the Army in late 1997 fresh off an ugly divorce and spoiling for a challenge.“I had something to prove to my paratrooper mates,” he told Backpacker magazine. On the final approach, Bushby reunited with his son, Adam, and his father, Keith, as he crossed the Humber Bridge into his hometown. Getty ImagesHe then embraced his emotional mother, Angela, outside her house as a crowd of reporters, well-wishers and a documentary crew looked on beneath a “Welcome Home Son” banner. Getty ImagesHe set two unbreakable rules. No vehicle could ever carry him forward, and he couldn’t go home until his own feet got him there. At 29, he hopped a flight from a Royal Air Force base outside Oxford to the bottom of South America and started walking from Punta Arenas, Chile, on Nov. 1, 1998, reportedly carrying less than $1,000.He pegged the trip at roughly five years. Fat chance.“You just dump a whole bucket full of reality on that,” he said. “We suspected that it was 12 years plus. And the plus was a big plus. But never in our wildest dreams would we ever have imagined 28 years.”The journey began on Nov. 1, 1998, in Punta Arenas, Chile, after a birthday card from his father sparked the idea of walking from London to New York over the Bering land bridge. Courtesy of Karl BushbyMother Nature threw everything she had at him. In 2001 he slipped past armed conflict in the Darién Gap, the brutal, road-free stretch of jungle and mountains linking the Americas, only to land behind bars in Panama for 18 days after wandering into a restricted border zone.In 2006, he and American adventurer Dimitry Kieffer tackled the 56-mile frozen Bering Strait. They had to be rescued by air, regrouped, then went toe-to-toe with a polar bear, nearly drowned in frigid water and almost watched their sleds and supplies vanish into the sea. Their reward for pulling it off was an arrest in Russia for illegal entry and the threat of deportation. But paperwork, not peril, proved his toughest foe. Russia ate up nearly a decade as visa headaches piled up and the weather allowed only a few months of walking a year. When Moscow refused him a visa in 2012, he marched from Los Angeles to the Russian Embassy in Washington in protest, which eventually got him the documents. The Kremlin later hit him with a five-year entry ban in 2013, forcing a detour through Mongolia and China, a weekslong swim across the Caspian Sea to Baku and, finally, a push into Europe last year.Bushby originally figured the trip would take about five years, but jungles, deserts, frozen seas and endless visa battles stretched it to 28. Courtesy of Karl BushbyBushby survived the lawless Darién Gap, spent 18 days in a Panamanian jail, battled shifting ice across the Bering Strait and spent nearly a decade fighting Russian bureaucracy before rerouting through Mongolia and China. Courtesy of Karl BushbyThe last hurdle was water. The Channel Tunnel’s operator nixed his request to walk its service passage, so the self-described weak swimmer, who once said he paddles “like a cat dropped in a bathtub,” dove in. On Oct. 5 he staggered onto Shakespeare Beach, south of Dover, after about 20 hours of swimming spread over three days, with his father and brothers waiting on the sand. He’d quietly cleared the crossing with French and British officials and both coast guards beforehand.“It feels good to have UK soil under my feet after all these years,” he told The Post. “It hasn’t been easy, and that’s part of the point.”His roughest stretches? “Lots of different hard parts, but let’s say the Darien Gap and Alaska,” he said. His favorite scenery was in South America, especially Colombia, Chile and the parched Atacama Desert.“It’s kept me in shape,” he said. “There are some aches and pains, but anyone who’s gonna be 57 and above, and is physically active, is probably gonna be the same.”Bushby told The Post has no regrets. “It worked, so no, I wouldn’t change a thing,” he said.He swam the Caspian Sea and later the English Channel, landing near Dover on Oct. 5 after about 20 hours in the water over three days. India Whiskey PhotographicKarl Bushby pictured with his young son Adam prior to leaving for 28 years to walk around the globe. Courtesy of Karl BushbyThe real reckoning happens off the road. When Bushby left, his son Adam was 8. Adam now lives in Belfast and has a family of his own. He told the Yorkshire Post that his father’s return “doesn’t seem real.” “[I am] looking forward to reconnecting with everyone. There’s distance between us, and we need to patch that up, and move on,” Bushby told The Post a few weeks before he completed his journey. Angela, who hadn’t laid eyes on her son in a decade, kept his globe-trotting saga in scrapbooks at the Sutton Park house. He’s expected to move back in with her .“Karl has always been headstrong,” she told the BBC.“It’s been a week of lasts,” Bushby told the crowd. “The last day in the tent. The last day on the road. After 28 years you couldn’t ask for more than this. This is the last of the last few steps almost to my mother’s house.”Legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog is directing a feature documentary about the odyssey called “Walk of Life,” and Bushby plans to focus on the film and public speaking next. Getty Images“They say it takes a village but literally it took a world to get me here,” Bushby said to the crowd at his homecoming. Tom Maddick / SWNSHollywood is along for the final stretch. Famed director Werner Herzog met him in Dover and is making a feature documentary, “Walk of Life,” for Westward Productions, the company launched by “House of Cards” creator Beau Willimon and Jordan Tappis, with Skellig Rock and The Roots also producing. Westward has backed the trek for 16 years and holds his archive of footage. Now Bushby faces the one thing he never trained for, standing still.“We need to find another mission, another passion and get busy. That’s the solution, I believe,” he said, adding he plans to pour himself into the film and the speaking circuit. After three decades of strangers feeding and sheltering him, his takeaway is simple.“People are amazing, despite what we think the world looks like,” he said. “Humanity is worth the effort.”

Trump's Unusual Focus on Cabinet 'Hotness' Raises Eyebrows New

Trump's Unusual Focus on Cabinet 'Hotness' Raises Eyebrows

President Donald Trump was asked to rank the most attractive members of his current administration after he mentioned men’s asses on the campaign trail multiple times. “Who is the best-looking member of your administration?” podcast host Miranda Devine asked on the Monday, November 2, episode of the “Pod Force One” podcast before listing Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. “Which one of those three? Or is it somebody else? Pete Hegseth?” After letting out a little chuckle, Trump, 80, said that Devine, 65, was possibly going to get him in trouble with his response. “Pete’s a good-looking guy,” he shared. “You’re going to get me in big trouble when you ask me those questions. Why do you do that? I think they’re all great looking.” Trump continued, “I’ll tell you what, Marco’s really a great hot politician in the sense that he’s done great. JD, the same thing. They’re all doing great. Scott Bessent is central casting, right? If I was going to do a movie on the Treasury, I’d pick him for the lead. They’re all good.” The podcast episode’s release comes less than 24 hours before millions of Americans will cast their vote on Election Day. Depending on the results in key states, the Democrats could take back control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives as Trump continues his second term as commander in chief. In the weeks leading up to Decision Day, Trump made headlines for his comments about Ohio Sen. Jon Husted’s physique. At an October 12 rally in Youngstown, Ohio, Trump said the former football coach and All-American defensive back at the University of Dayton had a “great ass.” “I watched up and down,” Trump shared. “I looked at his ass, and I looked at the whole — and then I looked at his hands.” In a separate rally on October 25, the commander in chief said, “I looked at his ass, and I’ve never done that with a man before. It’s true. Off the record: Women, yes, men, no, OK?” he said. “By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before, Nicki Minaj. … She’s been with us for a long time.” Trump later expressed his belief that his comments about Husted’s butt helped him climb in the polls. When campaigning for Rep. Mike Rogers, who is running for Senator in Michigan, Trump said, “I’d say that about your ass too, Mike, if it gets you a guaranteed victory.” Trump’s comments about asses have grabbed the attention of late-night hosts and the ladies of The View. As cohost Ana Navarro shared on the October 26 episode of the ABC talk show, “I can’t believe that Trump’s closing message on an election that is so close in so many places is about asses.”

Why This Simple Math Puzzle Is Stumping So Many People New

Why This Simple Math Puzzle Is Stumping So Many People

Can you solve this simple math puzzle?Take a close look at the note on the desk.It says: 70 ÷ 1/7 × 7 = ?At first glance, it looks like elementary school math. You probably feel like you can solve it in two seconds. Many people glance at it and immediately say the answer is 70.They might think: 70 divided by something times 7 just cancels out.Or perhaps they quickly calculate 1/7 × 7 = 1, and then 70 ÷ 1 = 70.It sounds very logical, right?Well, that is exactly why the note says: Answer is not 70!If 70 is wrong, what is the real answer?More importantly, why do so many smart adults get this wrong?Let us break it down step by step using basic math rules.Do you remember the order of operations from school? Many of us learned PEMDAS or BODMAS.These rules teach us how to read a math sentence properly.First, we do parentheses and brackets.Next come exponents and roots. Then comes multiplication and division. Finally, we do addition and subtraction. Here is the key detail that catches most people off guard:Multiplication does not automatically come before division. They actually have the exact same priority level. When a problem has only multiplication and division, there is one golden rule:You must solve from left to right!Just like reading a book, you start on the far left.Let us look back at our equation: 70 ÷ 1/7 × 7.Following the rule, the first operation on the left is 70 ÷ 1/7.How do we divide a whole number by a fraction?Do you remember the “flip and multiply” rule?To divide by a fraction, you multiply by its reciprocal. The reciprocal of 1/7 is simply 7/1, which equals 7.So, dividing 70 by 1/7 is the exact same thing as multiplying 70 by 7!Let us calculate that first step:70 × 7 = 490.Think about it in real life.Imagine you have 70 whole pizzas. If you cut every single pizza into 7 equal slices, how many slices do you have? You do not end up with 10 slices; you end up with 490 slices!Dividing by a fraction makes your number bigger, not smaller. Now, we have finished the first part of our expression. We are left with the final step from left to right:Take that 490 and multiply it by the last 7.Let us do the multiplication:490 × 7 = 3430.And that is the whole secret! The mathematically correct answer is 3430.It is not 70, and it is not 10.Math is wonderful because simple rules never change.Did you get 3430 on your first try?Share this with your friends and see how many of them fall into the trap!

Learjet Crash Near Florida Homes Leaves Community Stunned New

Learjet Crash Near Florida Homes Leaves Community Stunned

Two mobile homes in a Palm Beach County trailer park came within feet of being obliterated when a private jet crashed into the street outside on Sunday. The homes survived. Their neighbors still can’t go home. The Learjet 60, carrying nine people from Austin to the Bahamas, tore into Military Trail near Cresthaven Boulevard in Greenacres shortly before 1 p.m., gouging a crater into the pavement and torching the roadway. Everyone on board was killed.Next door sits the Green Acres mobile home community at 3033 South Military Trail, where a pair of units closest to the impact zone, Lots 3 and 5, stand just steps from the blast. Neither was struck head-on.“None of the homes were directly impacted other than debris,” Palm Beach County Commissioner Joel Flores, whose District 3 includes the park, told The Post, likening it to a “miracle” that no one else was impacted.A private Learjet bound for the Bahamas from Austin slammed into Military Trail in Greenacres, Florida, shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday, killing all nine people aboard and leaving a burning crater in the road. Aki Kuusisto via StoryfulAmong the dead were Austin tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife Helen, their two young children, their nanny, two family friends, pilot Jeff Gregory and 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras (pictured). Threads/Nathalia Gadelha FilgueirasFlores walked the scene himself and saw wreckage piled on the roofs of the nearest trailers.“I was on the site, and all I could see was debris on them. I don’t know if anything penetrated the structure itself, but there was debris there on the rooftops,” he said. The jet struck nothing but asphalt and sidewalk, he added, with no cars passing at the moment of impact. One driver who had just cleared the area walked away with deployed airbags and minor treatment. Anthony Blackmon, who lives roughly 500 feet from the crash site, told NBC Miami that debris slammed into his home. The jet came down just feet from the Green Acres mobile home community, a roughly 50-year-old park of about 75 homes where two units closest to the crater were spared a direct hit. Google MapsPalm Beach County Commissioner Joel Flores said no homes were struck outright, though he saw wreckage piled on the rooftops of the nearest trailers. The near miss did little for the park’s residents, who were cleared out wholesale on Sunday and bused to a shelter at the Greenacres Community Center.“We estimate that it’s anywhere between 400 to 600 individuals, we don’t have a precise number,” Flores said. The American Red Cross set up cots and blankets, and the county trucked in portable showers. By Monday, Flores said, “there’s approximately 40 that are remaining,” with most evacuees bunking with friends or family. The holdup is grim. Investigators are combing a half-mile debris field for evidence and remains, and nothing moves until they’re done.“There’s pieces of the body parts everywhere,” Stephanie, a representative for the park’s management office, told The Post. “Unfortunately, what we don’t know is when they’re going to be able to get back into their homes, because it’s still a scene, an accident scene or a crime scene, and they’re combing through all the evidence and body remains,” Flores added.Between 400 and 600 residents were evacuated and bused to the Greenacres Community Center, where the Red Cross supplied cots, blankets and portable showers. Getty ImagesResidents fled with little more than the clothes on their backs, and many ran outside to gawk at the wreckage only to be locked out of their own street. Their cars and work trucks are frozen in place as evidence.“They’re not able to grab their belongings. They’re not able to move their vehicles,” Flores said, recalling his Monday morning visit to the shelter. “And a lot of them were asking, ‘Hey, what’s going to happen? I need to go to work. I need to be able to grab my work truck’ or whatever it may be.”Mother Nature isn’t helping. Crews spent Monday pumping water out of the crater to reach what’s left of the jet, fighting a deluge that Flores said had been pounding the area “nonstop for the last probably 48 hours.” The impact also ruptured a water main, which he suspects helped smother the burning fuel.By Monday only about 40 remained at the shelter, with most others staying with friends or relatives. Flores said it’s a mix of owner-occupants and renters spread across roughly 75 homes.“It’s probably been there closer to 50 years,” he said.As for damage, management says it has none to report so far.County Administrator Joe Abruzzo has asked Gov. Ron DeSantis for an emergency declaration that would unlock funding for displaced residents and nearby businesses, warning the area could stay closed for an extended stretch. Flores said the county is weighing hotel vouchers and temporary housing. DeSantis, who toured the scene Sunday, called the crash “cataclysmic.”Residents were locked out without their belongings or vehicles, leaving many tradesmen unable to reach the work trucks they rely on for income. Google EarthNonstop rain has hampered crews trying to pump water from the crater to reach the wreckage, and the impact also ruptured a water main. Aki Kuusisto via StoryfulFederal investigators are probing whether the jet began breaking apart midair after its crew reported icing while flying into a fast-building thunderstorm.Flores, a military veteran, said the scene was familiar to him but not to his constituents.“I’ve been in the military. I’ve seen things like this happen before, but I know those community members probably have never gone through anything like this,” he said. “Hopefully we’ll get our people back into their homes soon.”The nine people killed aboard the doomed Learjet included Austin tech mogul Adam Robinson, 45, his wife Helen, their two young children, the family’s nanny and two close friends. Robinson, who founded and ran software firms Retention.com and RB2B, cut his teeth on Wall Street at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital, according to his LinkedIn. The $2 million jet was flown by Jeff Gregory, 55, a veteran pilot from Pennsylvania, alongside 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras of Florida, whom The Post previously revealed earned her pilot’s license as a high school student.
