Abdul El-Sayed's Surprising Public Behavior Draws Criticism from Former Aide New

Abdul El-Sayed's Surprising Public Behavior Draws Criticism from Former Aide

See more of our coverage in your search results. Abdul El-Sayed is full of hot air, a former top aid says. The Michigan Senate Dem nominee loves ripping farts in public and is a “manufactured man” who has the maturity of a high school locker room, according Jordan Domigue, who worked on two of El-Sayed’s campaigns as his bodyguard and personal assistant. “Everything I had previously ignored or excused made it obvious to who he was and that I was on the wrong side,” Domingue wrote in a Sept. 17 post on X. Domingue argued that El-Sayed’s behavior is “best explained by the guy who never grew past the high school locker room.”Jordan Domingue, far right, a former Abdul El-Sayed staffer, is pictured with Bernie Sanders and El-Sayed in a 2018 photo. X/@DomingueJordan“His masculinity is a performance, and he has the maturity to match it,” Domingue said. And one of Abdul El-Toot’s favorite tricks, the former aide said, is openly passing gas in front of staffers.“He would openly do so without warning or embarrassment as his form of stand-up comedy,” Domingue wrote.“To this day for him, the act of farting is easily one of the funniest things a person can do.”Domingue said that during El-Sayed’s gubernatorial and Senate campaigns, he came to view the candidate as a “30-year-old leapfrogging into a job he was inexperienced for and only got through connections.”“Now I’m far from blameless, and will reflect for years how I let myself be captured by loyalty and personality,” Domingue said.Domingue is shown in this undated photo. X/@DomingueJordan“When he acted like an entitled mobster to elected officials in 2017-2018, I excused it as justified outsider earning their place. When he would say one thing to one group and another thing to a different group hours later, I considered it just the norm or “strategic ambiguity” as he calls it.”Domingue has also accused El-Sayed of hypocrisy on antisemitism and Jewish safety. In a Sept. 9 post, Domingue criticized El-Sayed’s response to a researcher who announced her resignation from Anthropic, comparing it to him leaving the campaign. In the tweet, Domingue accused El-Sayed of not valuing the safety of Jewish Americans.“How we change the incentives leading antisemitism in the Democratic Party and protect Jewish Americans against these existential risks are the defining political questions of our time,” he said.El-Sayed has made Israel and the Gaza war a central issue of his political identity, but Domingue is now urging the media to look past what he described as the candidate’s “tough guy act” and his reluctance to discuss the Middle East in the final stretch before the midterms.Domingue also took aim at El-Sayed’s public image, particularly campaign videos that have drawn criticism online.Texts posted by former Domingue to share his intent to resign from El-Sayed’s campaign. X/@DomingueJordanAfter El-Sayed posted a campaign video dancing to a Taylor Swift song last month, some social-media users questioned his masculinity. Domingue rejected speculation about El-Sayed’s sexuality, saying he believes claims that the candidate might be gay are “inaccurate.”Domingue also accused El-Sayed of misrepresenting his professional background.“On the trail he likes to say he has ‘10 years of public service experience,’” Domingue said. “I knew that was a lie while working for him, but I was also surprised he would say it.”“Not because it was a lie, but because 10 years of public service work experience at 41 was embarrassing to me,” he added.Jordan Domingue, a former Abdul El-Sayed staffer, is seen in an X post on Thursday, October 1, 2026. X/@DomingueJordanThe former aide has also questioned El-Sayed’s relationship with law enforcement. In July, El-Sayed was endorsed by the Wayne County Deputy Sheriff’s Association. Domingue called the endorsement ironic, citing what he described as El-Sayed’s history of disrespect toward law enforcement. After the endorsement, El-Sayed posted a campaign video in which he said he is not an “honest man.”For Domingue, that was further evidence of what he now calls a carefully constructed political persona.“A manufactured man,” he said of his former boss.El-Sayed’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment Sunday.

Bert and Edna's Hilarious Bucket List Confessions Go Viral New

Bert and Edna's Hilarious Bucket List Confessions Go Viral

An elderly couple, Bert and Edna, are sitting on the porch swing one quiet Sunday evening. They’ve been married for 55 years. The sun is setting, the birds are chirping, and they’re both sipping lukewarm tea, watching squirrels fight over a Cheeto in the yard.Out of the blue, Edna sighs and says, “Bert, let’s talk about our bucket lists.”Bert raises an eyebrow. “Bucket lists? Edna, I’m 87. My list is down to ‘wake up tomorrow and remember where I put my pants.’”Edna chuckles. “No, I’m serious. Before we go, we should each do something we’ve always wanted to do but never had the chance.”Bert thinks for a moment. “Alright, fine. I’ve always wanted to go skydiving.”Edna’s eyes widen. “Skydiving?! Bert, the last time you bent down to tie your shoe, you passed out for three minutes.”Bert shrugs. “Well, if I die mid-air, just let me land in the neighbor’s garden. I’ve always wanted to haunt him.”They laugh, and Edna nods. “Okay, okay. You go skydiving. I’ll do mine too.”Bert squints. “And what’s yours?”Edna suddenly gets this mischievous sparkle in her eye — the same one she had back in 1965 when she “accidentally” dropped Bert’s bowling trophy out the car window during an argument.“I’ve always wanted to confess something to you, Bert.”Bert gulps. “Confess what?”Edna leans closer and whispers, “You know how your favorite recliner always mysteriously leaned to the left for 20 years?”Bert nods. “Yeah, blamed the dog. Poor thing limped for weeks.”Edna smiles. “Well, it was me. I jammed a spatula in the bottom after you spilled grape soda on my new curtains in ’89.”Bert gasps. “You monster!”Edna giggles. “And remember that time the remote kept changing the channel to the Hallmark channel, no matter what button you pressed?”Bert blinks. “You said it was haunted!”Edna smirks. “Nope. I glued a penny inside the battery compartment to short-circuit it. You never missed a single Christmas romance movie for five straight years.”Bert’s mouth drops open. “Why would you do that?!”Edna sips her tea, serene. “Because payback, dear, is best served with mistletoe and slow-motion snowball fights.”After a long pause, Bert leans back in the swing and says, “You know what, Edna? I’ve got a confession too.”“Oh?” she says.“You remember my ‘fishing trips’ every Saturday for ten years?”Edna eyes him. “You don’t fish.”“I know,” Bert says proudly. “I was at the bowling alley. I won four trophies. They’re hidden behind the water heater in the basement.”Edna stares at him in disbelief. “You mean I accidentally dropped a decoy trophy out the car window?!”They both burst into laughter. And from that day forward, Bert went skydiving, Edna bought a new recliner, and every Saturday they now go bowling together — mostly to keep an eye on each other. An 85-year-old couple, married for almost 60 yearsAn 85-year-old couple, married for almost 60 years, tragically passed away in a car a.c.cident and arrived at the Pearly Gates. Thanks to the wife’s obsession with healthy diets and exercise, they had been in great shape for the last decade.St. Peter greeted them warmly and led them to their heavenly mansion—complete with a huge bedroom, Jacuzzi, gourmet kitchen, and even a billiards table.“Wow! How much does this cost?” the husband asked.“Nothing,” St. Peter replied. “This is Heaven—everything is free!”Next, he showed them a championship golf course just minutes from their home, where they could play anytime, have an angel as a caddy, and enjoy a course that changed daily to mimic the world’s most elite greens.“Incredible!” the wife said. “And the green fees?”“Free,” St. Peter chuckled. “This is Heaven.”Then, they toured a five-star restaurant featuring an all-you-can-eat feast—Wagyu beef, lobster, prime rib, exotic vegetables, and desserts straight from a dream. The husband, still skeptical, asked, “Okay… but how much?”“Sir, for the last time… FREE. This is Heaven!”The husband hesitated. “Well… do you have any low-fat, low-cholesterol options?”St. Peter laughed. “In Heaven, you’ll never gain weight or get sick. Eat whatever you want!”Suddenly, the husband turned red, clenched his fists, and started shouting at the sky. “What’s wrong??” his wife asked, confused. He pointed at her and yelled, “THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! If it weren’t for your damn bran muffins and paleo chicken, WE COULD HAVE BEEN HERE TEN YEARS AGO!!!LOL!!Hope this joke will make you smile! Have a nice day!!

Ed Sheeran's Family Drama: What His Cousin's Comments Reveal New

Ed Sheeran's Family Drama: What His Cousin's Comments Reveal

Ed Sheeran is seemingly responding to his cousin Jethro Sheeran’s digs in the wake of the Grammy-winning singer’s ongoing Loop Tour controversy. “The other text messages were, like, from a family member who I haven’t spoken to in a very long time,” Ed, 35, said during his Saturday, October 3, concert in Atlanta, revealing he received notifications from old conversations when he recently located a discarded phone of his from a decade ago. “You might have seen [my relative] recently on social media.” While Ed didn’t mention his family member by name, Jethro, 44, recently took aim at his cousin for his stance over opening act Macklemore’s dismissal from the Loop Tour roster. (Macklemore, 43, was let go by Ed’s touring company after receiving backlash for chanting “Free Palestine” and denouncing genocide in all forms at the New Jersey shows last month.) “I’m ashamed of my cousin Ed,” Jethro wrote in a September 17 social media post. “Finally, the world and all his fans see through him. He’s not a good person, I don’t like his music so I can’t say he’s even a good artist. He’s honestly a selfish individual with malicious, cunning ways.” Ed never publicly addressed Jethro’s comments, while the producer has doubled down on his perspective. “We were pretty close. But early on, I saw the snake in him,” Jethro claimed on Piers Morgan Uncensored later in September. “He’s very talented and people think I’m jealous. But jealous of what? His looks? His guitar? His singing? … Seeing what he did to Macklemore I believe he kicked him off that show. I believe he did it with his team and then he blamed the promoter.” Ed, for his part, has publicly denied he was involved in dismissing Macklemore from the tour. As he continued touring, the “Thinking Out Loud” singer issued an apology for making “mistakes.” “I’m used to my music being criticized, and I’m always happy to take that because I’m lucky. A lot of you like my stuff, and to be honest, I’m surprised,” he began his September 19 show in Philadelphia. “I’m not surprised that I’ve even done it. You know, it’s normal. This week, the criticism was about something much more important, and I’ve had to take [it in] and make difficult decisions, and I am making mistakes, and I’m so so sorry.” Ed further stressed that he has never wanted to “disappoint fans.” “This has put me in the middle of an important, passionate argument about freedom of speech on the most complex issue on the planet,” he added at the time. “[My music] has always been a safe space for everyone. That matters hugely to me. Honoring my commitment to my fans is also completely essential to who I am. That is why I’m here tonight — on my own — continuing my own tour.” Several of Ed’s support acts left the Loop Tour in solidarity with Mackelmore. He enlisted The Fray musician Isaac Slade to join the concert on Saturday, October 3.

Jenelle Evans Speaks Out About David Eason’s New Girlfriend New

Jenelle Evans Speaks Out About David Eason’s New Girlfriend

Jenelle Evans has reacted to ex David Eason’s new romance with girlfriend Madi B. “I’m happy my ex husband has moved on,” the Teen Mom alum, 34, exclusively told Us in a Friday, October 2, statement. “But I wish it was to someone that I could actually introduce to my daughter one day but I don’t see that happening.” Jenelle shared her reservations about Madi B after being “warned” about her previous employment. “People all over NC warned me about her and I don’t agree with her job of escorting,” Evans alleged. “My kids have heard of this girl from having TikTok and my daughter’s heart is broken. Hopefully he saves the beer money for child support.” Jenelle also claimed that David, 38, has “not asked” about their daughter, Ensley, but has been in touch with her. “David has also not asked about Ensley since leaving Florida, but he texted my daughter and apologized for how he treated her the day of our argument,” she alleged. Madi B addressed Jenelle's worries in a statement to Us. “Maybe someday in the future we can talk about my past. As for now my only comment is that I’m currently a pre-nursing student, and I recently got a second bartending job,” Madi B said. “I understand people may have opinions about who I was or choices I’ve made, but none of that defines me. I’m proud of the direction my life is taking, and I’ll continue moving through it with grace, determination, and faith. Everything I’m not made me everything I am.” David also addressed Jenelle's statement telling Us, “Madi is too smart to let the public drama get in her way. She has goals and ambitions that are far more deserving of her time than someone's opinions or rumors. People talk just to be heard, not because there is any significance to what they say.” Jenelle and David tied the knot in 2017 after two years of dating. The pair welcomed daughter Ensley that same year. (Jenelle is also mother to son Jace, 17, whom she welcomed with ex Andrew Lewis and son Kaiser whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffith.) In 2019, Jenelle and David temporarily separated but ultimately reconciled. The pair ended things for good in 2024 when Jenelle filed for divorce. Jenelle’s reaction to David’s new relationship comes one day after he confirmed his and Madi B’s romance to Us. “Madison and I have been acquainted for a few years, but we never had the chance to get close,” David exclusively told Us on Thursday, October 1. “In the past, we always locked eyes every time we saw each other in public. It was just bad timing until now.” He continued, “I’m so glad I met her, and she treats me better than I could’ve ever imagined.” David and Madi B sparked romance rumors last month when he shared a photo with Madi online. However, David initially downplayed their connection. “Just friends BTW,” he wrote via Facebook on Sunday, September 27, while posing with Madi B on a boat in Wilmington, North Carolina. Days later, Madi B raised eyebrows when she posted a video of her and David kissing. “Friendships evolve, right,” she wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, September 29.

How Jojo Yawson's Perfect Score Ended a 25-Year Chemistry Challenge New

How Jojo Yawson's Perfect Score Ended a 25-Year Chemistry Challenge

See more of our coverage in your search results. A Long Island high school student aced his Chemistry Regents exam and earned $100 when he beat his teacher’s 25-year challenge for the scrutinized state test.Jojo Yawson shocked his teachers at Baldwin High School when his test was the final one to be graded and came back with a 100 on the end-of-year exam in June.“When it came back with 100, my jaw almost hit the floor. Literally the last kid,” Yawson’s teacher, Anthony Simonelli, told CBS New York Friday.Long Island high school student Jojo Yawson earned a perfect 100 on his chemistry Regents exam, winning his teacher’s $100 challenge that has been around for 25 years. CBS NewsYawson’s achievement comes as the state transitions to a new exam and begins phasing out the high school diploma-required testing altogether by 2028.Simonelli has pitted his students against the same challenge for the last quarter of a century — score a 100 percent on the final exam and be rewarded with a hand-delivered $100 bill at their front door. The veteran educator gave his students the challenge as an incentive for the test, seen as the hardest Regents-level exam in New York State.“I said, all right, here’s some motivation. I’ll give you 100 bucks. Any kid who gets 100,” he told CBS New York.Yawson, a then-sophomore and motivated by the money, broke down the challenge to its core.“I definitely believed it was possible,” he told the Long Island Herald. “You know, you just have to get all the questions right. Like, it’s not impossible.”“It’s mostly about just being very careful and not making any mistakes,” he added. “That’s the hard part.”Baldwin High School chemistry teacher Anthony Simonelli says he couldn’t believe one of his students had aced the test, deemed one of the hardest in the state. BaldwinUFSD/FacebookAfter the test, Yawson returned home believing he did not do well.“I thought I did terrible. I went home dejected. I thought, I don’t know, I thought I missed at least a few questions,” he said. But despite his uncertainties, Yawson got a 100 on all parts of the exam, giving Simonelli the honor of delivering the prize, a signed $100 to his student.“It did matter a lot. It wasn’t in the back of my mind, it was in the front of my mind,” Yawson said about the money, which was engraved with a “Thank you” and his teacher’s signature.“Of course, it’s about the money,” Yawson added. “Getting a perfect score — if they gave me $100 for getting a 50, I would have got a 50. It’s about the money.”Yawson had thoughts of framing the $100 bill but might just spend it because it isn’t his first 100 he got on a Regents exam.Yawson got a 100 on all parts of the exam, giving Simonelli the honor of delivering the prize, a signed $100 to his student. Family HandoutDuring his freshman year, the brilliant student aced the Biology Regents Yawson’s mother was proud of her son for overcoming the learning accommodations he needed for testing to get the perfect scores.“I believe that it should really inspire students with accommodations and their families to recognize that having a learning difference can mean learning with excellence,” Ama Karikari told the outlet.Simonelli revealed it might be the last time a student of his will have a chance to get a 100 on the Chemistry Regents as the exam is being redesigned to fit under the state’s P-12 Science Learning Standards.“There’s no way that the last kid that I’ll ever have the chance to have a 100 literally did it,” he said.Ex-Gov. George Pataki has ripped the change that dumbed down the state’s high school diploma requirements being phased out as the Board of Regents looks for alternative graduation requirements.“Getting rid of the Regents is incredibly stupid,” Pataki told The Post last week.“It seems like the Education Department’s main function right now is to disguise the fact that too many New York State schools are failing to educate our kids,” he said.“So instead of doing the appropriate testing so that corrective measures could be taken to improve [performance], they simply get rid of the tests to hide their failure.”

The Toilet Paper Debate: Why 'Over' Is the Right Way, According to History New

The Toilet Paper Debate: Why 'Over' Is the Right Way, According to History

The Great Bathroom Debate: Over or Under?Have you ever walked into a bathroom, looked at the toilet paper roll, and felt a sudden, irresistible urge to flip it around? If you have, don’t worry—you are completely normal. In fact, you are part of one of the longest, most passionate, and funniest debates in human history. It is a question that has divided families, caused playful arguments between couples, and sparked endless discussions online: Which way is the correct way to hang toilet paper?Should the loose end hang against the wall (Option 1: Under), or should it hang over the front, facing you (Option 2: Over)?Today, let’s take a lighthearted, fun journey into this everyday mystery. We will look at both sides, share some surprising facts, and finally look at the historical proof that settles the debate once and for all!The Two Teams: Where Do You Stand? Before we look at the official answer, let’s meet the two groups of people who make up this great debate. Each side has its own logic, and honestly, both sides make some pretty good points!Team Under (Option 1)People who prefer hanging their toilet paper “under”—where the paper hangs hidden against the wall—usually love a clean, tidy look. The Look: When the paper hangs underneath, the roll looks sleek and contained. It doesn’t stick out into the room. The Pet Protection: This is the secret weapon for Team Under! If you have a playful cat or an energetic toddler, you know what happens when they see a hanging flap of paper. They swipe at it, and suddenly, your whole bathroom floor is covered in a white paper carpet. Hanging it “under” makes it much harder for pets to unroll the entire thing with a single paw swipe.Team Over (Option 2)On the other side of the bathroom aisle, we have Team Over. This is where the loose end hangs right in front, ready to be grabbed. The Convenience: It is incredibly easy to find the edge, grab it, and rip off exactly what you need. You don’t have to awkwardly fumble around near the cold bathroom tiles to find the hidden end.The Visual Display: Many premium toilet paper brands print pretty patterns or textures on the paper. Hanging it “over” ensures that these nice designs are facing the room, making the bathroom look welcoming and high-end.The Surprising Science of Toilet PaperYou might think this is just a silly preference, but scientists and hygiene experts have actually studied this! And their findings give a huge boost to one specific side.According to researchers, Team Over (Option 2) is much cleaner and more hygienic. Why hygiene experts love the “Over” method:When the paper hangs over the front, your fingers only touch the exact pieces of paper you are going to use. However, when the paper hangs “under” against the wall, your knuckles and fingers are much more likely to brush against the bathroom wall or the holder itself when you try to reach for it.Because bathroom walls can harbor hidden bacteria, touching the wall every time you reach for paper can spread germs. So, if you want to keep your hands as clean as possible, hanging it over the front is the healthier choice! The Final Verdict: What History Tells UsNow, let’s settle the argument with the ultimate piece of truth. If you want to know the truly correct way to hang toilet paper, we have to look back in time to the person who invented it.Meet Seth Wheeler, an inventor from the late 19th century. On Business Date: September 15, 1891, Wheeler officially patented the toilet paper roll with perforations (the little dotted lines that allow you to tear the paper easily). When inventors register a patent, they have to include a detailed drawing of how their invention is supposed to be used. Guess what Wheeler’s official 1891 patent drawing showed?📜 The 1891 Patent ProofThe original blueprint clearly shows the roll attached to the wall with the paper hanging over the top and down the front (Option 2)!Seth Wheeler designed it this way because the perforated lines are much easier to pull and tear when the paper is hanging towards the user. If it hangs against the wall, the friction makes it harder to get a clean tear. So, there you have it! History, science, and the inventor himself all agree: Option 2 (Over) is the officially correct way to hang toilet paper.A Fun Takeaway for Your Next Bathroom VisitAt the end of the day, whether you are Team Under or Team Over, the most important thing is that there is toilet paper on the roll when you need it!The next time you visit a friend’s house or a nice restaurant and notice the toilet paper roll is facing the “wrong” way, you can smile knowing the fascinating history behind it. You might even use this fun piece of trivia as a great conversation starter at your next dinner party. So, how is the roll hanging in your bathroom right now? If it’s hanging “under,” maybe give it a quick flip today just to see how the other half lives! Have fun, stay clean, and enjoy life’s little mysteries.

Michael McDonald's Long-Lost Son Discovers His Iconic Dad's Identity New

Michael McDonald's Long-Lost Son Discovers His Iconic Dad's Identity

Michael Goessling always knew he was adopted. But what he did not know for nearly 58 years was that his biological father had one of the most recognizable and beloved voices in American music. The St. Louis man learned recently that his father is five-time Grammy winner and Doobie Brothers singer Michael McDonald, a musician Goessling had admired since childhood and had unknowingly paid to see perform twice as a young man.But even after receiving the letter that began it all, meeting his biological mother and learning his biological father was a mysterious musician named “Mike,” Goessling still had no idea who was waiting on the other end of the phone. The answer finally came during their first conversation, when “Mike” mentioned he was touring and would be stopping in St. Louis on Sept. 4 at a venue he believed was called “Hollywood.”Goessling thought of the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater and, puzzled that his biological father was apparently still a touring musician at his age, began searching the venue’s concert schedule as the two men spoke. The Doobie Brothers were playing in concert Sept. 4.Suddenly, the pieces began falling into place: “Mike.” Musician. That unmistakable voice.“Are you Michael McDonald?” Goessling finally asked.McDonald chuckled. “Yep, afraid so.”“Oh my gosh, this is getting crazier by the second,” Goessling recalled saying. “I can’t even, I can’t get my head around this. This is too much.”Singer Michael McDonald performs on stage during the 2023 MusiCares Persons of the Year gala honoring Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson at the LA Convention Center in Los Angeles. AFP via Getty Images“I know,” McDonald replied. “Take a minute.”“I thought I was being punked for a second,” Goessling told Fox News Digital. “It’s like, ‘No, this can’t be real. This is impossible. What is going on here?'”More than a year later, he said the discovery can still feel unreal.“I still wake up sometimes and my first thought is, ‘Oh my gosh, that was a crazy dream,’ only to realize that here we are.”The extraordinary phone call came just days after a letter ended a mystery stretching back to Goessling’s birth. On May 6, 2025, an attorney representing his biological mother contacted Goessling to explain that she believed he was the son she had placed for adoption through Catholic Charities nearly 58 years earlier.Goessling had always known he was adopted, but the adoption was closed. He knew nothing about his biological parents, and they knew virtually nothing about the life he had gone on to live. His biological mother, he learned, had spent roughly 30 to 35 years searching for him. Both biological parents hoped he might be willing to communicate, Goessling recalled, but above all, they wanted to know that he was well.“It was a wonderful surprise but quite a shock,” he said. “It felt like a tsunami hit me.”Goessling called his biological mother that evening. Although he had never actively searched for his biological parents, he had long hoped he might someday have the opportunity to thank them.“I just want you to hear from me that I got nothing but love for you,” he recalled telling her. “This is such an amazing gift, that I get to thank you personally. … They were always heroes in my story,” he said.Their first conversation lasted about 90 minutes. Goessling eventually proposed meeting for lunch that Friday, prompting his biological mother to remind him that Friday was his birthday.“Yeah, yeah. You’ve waited long enough. I think I’ve waited enough,” he recalled replying. “Let’s meet on my birthday, 58 years to the day.”After a three-hour lunch and nearly six decades apart, Goessling learned there was someone else anxious to speak with him. His biological father had deliberately remained in the background so mother and son could have their reunion first.“He really wanted the mother-son thing to happen first, which is just true to his character,” Goessling said. “He thought that was very important, and he wanted to take a back seat so that could happen.”Before father and son connected, McDonald left Goessling a voicemail. That unmistakable voice immediately struck him.“Whoa, what a voice,” Goessling recalled telling his biological mother.“Yeah, he gets that a lot,” she replied with a chuckle. The voice seemed strangely familiar, but Goessling still didn’t make the connection. When the two men finally spoke, he began by telling McDonald what he had already told his biological mother.“Thank you for giving me a shot in this world,” Goessling recalled saying. “I’ve had a charmed life. And it all started with you guys.”Then he asked what his biological father did for a living.“I’m a musician,” McDonald told him.Goessling, a lifelong music obsessive who once worked in the music business, thought that was terrific. It wasn’t until the conversation turned to McDonald’s upcoming tour stop that he finally put it together. The revelation contained another coincidence almost too remarkable to invent; Goessling was already a huge fan.The Doobie Brothers had been among his favorite bands since childhood, alongside The Who and Journey. He vividly remembers first hearing “Takin’ It to the Streets” after McDonald joined the group and insisting to the person playing it that there had been some mistake.“I know the Doobie Brothers and that is not the Doobie Brothers,” Goessling remembered declaring as a child. He soon learned about the band’s new singer and became a McDonald fan, too. He remained one.In fact, Goessling had already watched his biological father perform in concert twice, once in the 1980s, and again in the early 1990s, without ever imagining that the man onstage was the father whose identity he did not know. When Fox News Digital pointed out that meant he had actually paid twice to see his own father perform, Goessling laughed.“I should get reimbursed for that.”There were other clues hiding in plain sight. After Goessling grew out his hair and white beard during the COVID-19 pandemic, people began telling him they liked the “Michael McDonald thing” he had going on.“Little did I know, five years later that that would resonate even so true,” he said. After the families met, the similarities became even harder to miss. During a visit with McDonald, Goessling said McDonald’s wife, Amy, and his newfound half-sister would watch him do or say something and suddenly burst out laughing.Singer Michael McDonald performs with The Doobie Brothers at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater in New York, Sunday, August 10, 2025. Helayne Seidman for NY Post“Your dad does the exact same thing,” they would tell him. “They couldn’t take their eyes off me,” Goessling said. “They’re waiting to see what I would do or say next because there was so many just natural similarities.”Yet, for Goessling, the remarkable celebrity connection is not the part of his story that matters most.Learning where he came from also meant finally understanding what his biological parents had faced nearly six decades earlier, when they were just two 14-year-old eighth-graders confronting a pregnancy that would change all three of their lives.According to Goessling, the teenagers’ initial reaction was that they would marry, raise their baby and rely on their families to help them. Their parents concluded they were simply too young at the time.“They were just far too young to be married and to have a child,” Goessling said.Their families ultimately determined that adoption would be best, he said, although relinquishing their son had not been his biological parents’ first choice.Nearly six decades later, Goessling sees what happened through the lens of both gratitude and faith.“Mike, I mean, he wasn’t Michael McDonald [then]. He was Mike from the neighborhood,” he said, imagining how differently life could have been had two 14-year-olds attempted to raise a child together.“I have to believe that it all worked out as it was supposed to because, certainly, when I see us all now together, it’s just the greatest joy,” Goessling said. “I think this was the plan. And I think it was a beautiful plan.”That plan, as Goessling sees it, led him to Paul and Kay Goessling. He grew up in a family of four children. Three were adopted before, against the odds, Kay became pregnant with their youngest daughter, Linda.Goessling describes his childhood as “charmed” and said he could not have chosen better parents himself.“If I could go back and pick two folks, I would pick them and do it all over again,” he said. “They were just the most wonderful blessing in my life.”His father, Paul, died shortly before Christmas 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, and Goessling said the two were extremely close. Six months later, another father entered his life.“After losing my father, I get a letter, and Mike pops up,” Goessling said. “Another father enters my life, my world.”Kay’s reaction to the discovery was immediate. When Goessling showed her the letter, he said his mother began crying and declared what had happened “a miracle.”She asked whether he had met his biological mother, and he had.“Oh my God, go get her,” Goessling recalled Kay saying. “I have to meet her. I’ve got a million questions. What’s she like? I gotta give her a big hug.”Goessling said his mother has embraced his biological family from the beginning, and the once-separate branches of his family came together with surprising ease.“Everybody’s in love with everybody,” he said.Father and son now speak frequently and text “all the time,” according to Goessling. And while the identity of his biological father is what thrust his story into the spotlight, Goessling hopes the attention gives him an opportunity to talk about adoption as a blessing.Michael Goessling, an adopted St. Louis man who discovered his biological father is Michael McDonald. KMOVA practicing Catholic who was raised in the faith and adopted through Catholic Charities, Goessling said his parents taught him from childhood to understand his adoption not as evidence that he had been unwanted, but as evidence that he was deeply loved. Even before he was old enough to fully understand what adoption meant, he knew how his parents viewed it.“It was a miracle,” he said. “It was the greatest thing. It was a gift from God.”Only when Goessling grew old enough to understand where babies came from, he said, did he fully appreciate the significance of the decisions that had been made before his birth.“Obviously, we all know there are choices in this world, and I am so grateful and fortunate for the choices they made on my behalf,” he said. “Adoption has been absolutely nothing but a blessing for me. … I celebrate adoption and I always have. It’s always been a big part of my life story.”Now, nearly six decades later, Goessling has been able to thank the biological parents he once could only imagine, and discovered that they had spent those same decades wondering about him.He hopes the unlikely circumstances that brought attention to his family can help “elevate” the conversation surrounding adoption.“I want this to elevate the narrative, the adoption narrative,” he said. “I want that adoption gets celebrated more in this country. If my crazy story can be true, Lord knows anything is possible.”And if Michael McDonald is watching? Goessling doesn’t need an interview to deliver the message. He said father and son already talk regularly.“I just tell him that I love him, and I tell him thank you for everything,” he said. After 58 years, the man who says he never felt deprived of a family has somehow ended up with an even larger one.“My cup overflows,” Goessling said.

Why Only 1% Can Solve This Simple Math Puzzle New

Why Only 1% Can Solve This Simple Math Puzzle

Are you ready to test your basic math skills with a quick challenge?Puzzles like this often look very simple at first glance. However, many people get the wrong answer because they forget a basic rule.Let us look closely at the equation in the picture: 5² + 5² ÷ 5 = ?To solve this correctly, we need to follow the proper order of operations. In mathematics, this order is usually called PEMDAS or BODMAS.This rule tells us which calculation to do first, second, and last.First, we must solve any calculations inside parentheses or brackets. In our equation, there are no parentheses, so we move to the next step.Second, we need to calculate exponents or powers. We have two terms with exponents in this puzzle: 5² and 5².The expression 5² simply means 5 multiplied by 5.When we multiply 5 by 5, we get 25.So, we can replace both 5² terms with the number 25.Now, our equation becomes much simpler: 25 + 25 ÷ 5 = ?Third, we look for multiplication or division from left to right. In our new equation, we have an addition and a division.According to the order of operations, division must always be done before addition. This is the exact step where most people make a mistake. Many people add 25 and 25 first to get 50, and then divide 50 by 5 to get 10.If you chose option A (10), you fell into this common trap!Instead, we must perform the division step first: 25 ÷ 5.When we divide 25 by 5, the result is 5.Now, we update our equation one more time: 25 + 5 = ?Finally, we perform the remaining addition step.We simply add 25 and 5 together.25 + 5 equals 30.Therefore, the correct answer to this puzzle is 30.Looking at the options given in the image:A) 10B) 25C) 30D) 50We can clearly see that option C is the correct choice!

Ryan Seacrest's Shirtless Snap Leaves Fans Speechless New

Ryan Seacrest's Shirtless Snap Leaves Fans Speechless

Ryan Seacrest’s fans certainly had some thoughts after he showed off his incredibly toned abs on social media. On Saturday, October 3, the American Idol host, 51, offered a look via Instagram at what a day for him looks like from “start to finish” — sharing a peek at his morning and twilight bike rides. Seacrest was shirtless in both clips, allowing his abs to be appreciated in all of their glory. Fans and friends held nothing back as they admired the TV host’s chiseled physique. “I look exactly like this without all of the muscley ripply bits and more squishy bits made out of pasta and pizza and potatoes stuffed into spanx,” TV host Dina Pugliese posted. “But other than that. Twins.” “Ok seacrest, save some for the rest of us,” Walker actor Colin Ford quipped, with DJ Diplo adding, “ryan relax !!!” “I would never wear a shirt,” another commenter declared. Ahead of his 50th birthday, Seacrest told Entertainment Tonight in December 2024 that he was “over-exercising, eating better, over-training” so he could “make myself feel 29 again.” “I feel good because I can't believe I'm turning 50,” he said. “I'm doing everything I can to make myself feel like I'm not 50." Seacrest more recently spoke exclusively to Us in December 2025 about how he was approaching major lifestyle changes following his dad Gary’s death from prostate cancer that October. “Losing someone so close to you — my dad, my best friend — you realize that life is short,” he said. “You’ve got to make the most of it every day.” He went on to say, “Some of the little things that we let bother us are not important in the grand scheme. That resonated with me.” Seacrest somehow manages to fit a fitness regimen into a very busy schedule while hosting both American Idol and Wheel of Fortune, as well as fronting Celebrity Wheel of Fortune alongside Vanna White and recording his syndicated radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest. His calendar was so jam-packed over the summer that he skipped out on attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden in July because he was booked to host coverage of America’s 250 birthday celebrations across Disney’s stable of networks. “Travis and Taylor got married. I had to keep a secret from you,” he revealed to On Air with Ryan Seacrest listeners on July 6. “It was a confidential invitation to everybody that was invited. So when you were doing your reports about the wedding, I was just on the inside screaming, outside very composed.” Seacrest continued, “I RSVP’d to go, and then Disney hired me to do the 4th of July 250 special on the 3rd and the 4th, so I had to cancel.”
