Why This Struggling Mom Invited a Stranger Into Her Home New

Why This Struggling Mom Invited a Stranger Into Her Home

I let a homeless man with a knee brace sleep on our couch for one night because my 9-year-old son couldn’t stand watching him shiver outside a grocery store. The next morning, I left for work expecting him to be gone before I came home. But when I unlocked our apartment that evening, the door opened differently. Furniture had been moved. My toolbox was on the floor. Part of the lock had been taken apart. And the stranger I had invited into my home was nowhere in sight. For a few terrifying seconds, I thought I had made the worst mistake of my life.It started the night before. My name is Mara, and I worked as a nursing assistant at a long-term care facility on Chicago’s north side. That Thursday had been brutal.A coworker called in sick. A resident fell. I spent part of my lunch break sitting beside a confused woman who kept asking why her husband hadn’t visited. He had been gone for 6 years.By the time I picked up my son, Caleb, all I wanted was to go home.Unfortunately, we were out of milk.We stopped at the grocery store for 3 things and somehow left carrying 2 bags.I was mentally calculating how many dinners I could stretch from one package of chicken when Caleb stopped beside the automatic doors.“Mom.”“Keep moving. It’s freezing.”“That’s what I mean.”I followed his gaze.A man sat against the brick wall beside the shopping carts. He looked about 40. His coat was too thin for December, and a black medical brace covered his right knee.A faded blue duffel bag sat beside him.He wasn’t begging. He was simply trying not to shake.“Where’s he going to sleep?” Caleb asked.“I don’t know.”“Can we ask?”I almost said no.Our own rent was overdue. After groceries, I had $46 in my account. There was a gas bill on my kitchen counter I had started turning face down because somehow not seeing the number made it easier to breathe.I had nothing extra. But Caleb kept staring at the man.So we walked over. The man looked up.“I’m not bothering anyone.”“I didn’t say you were.”“The manager said I could stay until closing.”“Do you have somewhere warm to go?”He glanced at his duffel bag.“The shelter I called was full. My phone died while I was trying another place.”Caleb pointed at his brace.“Did you break your leg?”“Caleb.”The man gave a tired smile.“It’s okay. Hurt my knee at work.”“My mom takes care of people.”“That sounds hard.”“She comes home walking like you sometimes.”I laughed despite myself.Inside, a clerk let us use the customer-service phone. We called several shelters.Full.No intake.Too far away. One warming center had space, but getting there required 2 buses and a long walk.“I’ll manage,” the man said. Then he tried to stand. His good leg pushed against the pavement.Halfway up, his in:jured knee gave way.He dropped back down. Before I finished thinking, I said, “You can sleep on our couch.”He stared at me.Honestly, I was shocked too.“Just tonight,” I added. “Dinner, a shower, somewhere warm. Tomorrow we figure out your next step.”“Ma’am, you don’t know me.”“No.”He slowly took out an identification card.“My name is Daniel Mercer.”“I’m Mara. This is Caleb.”Caleb waved.Daniel swallowed.“Thank you.”I questioned my decision at every red light.Kindness sounded simple until you had a child depending on you. Before going upstairs, I called my neighbor, Ruth. She lived across the hall, was 68, and had raised 4 children.I explained what I had done. There was a pause.“Bring him to my apartment first.”So I did.Ruth questioned Daniel for nearly 10 minutes.Where had he worked? Was anyone looking for him?Did he use dru:gs?Did he have family?Daniel answered everything calmly. When we crossed the hall afterward, Ruth handed me an extra blanket.“Phone beside your bed.”“I know.”“Bedroom locked.”“Yes.”“You can be kind without being careless.”Inside, Daniel stopped on the mat.“Shoes off?”“If you can manage.”He lowered himself onto a chair. One boot had started splitting at the toe.I pretended not to notice. After a shower, he changed into an old sweatshirt and sweatpants my ex-husband had left years ago.We ate spaghetti at the kitchen table.Caleb talked enough for all 3 of us.He explained his volcano project and told Daniel that his friend could supposedly burp the alphabet.“Supposedly?” Daniel asked.“He only got to M before the lunch lady stopped him.”“Then the experiment remains incomplete.”Caleb laughed so hard he dropped his fork.I realized how quiet dinner had become since his father left.Afterward, Daniel noticed the dripping kitchen faucet.“That been leaking long?”“Long enough that I hear it in my sleep.”Then he looked at our front door.To lock it, I always had to lift the handle while pulling hard.“Landlord know?”“Since August.”Daniel nodded.I found a charger for his phone. Before bed, we made a plan.I would take Caleb to Ruth at 5:40 before work.Daniel would call shelters when the intake lines opened.“When you leave, just pull the door closed,” I said. “The lower lock catches.”“I’ll be gone before you get back.”I wrote my number on a grocery receipt. Then I locked my bedroom door.At dawn, Daniel was asleep on the couch. His duffel bag was still zipped.I left a note saying there were eggs in the refrigerator.Caleb added:DO NOT EAT ALL THE CHOCOLATE CEREAL.Then he drew what was apparently supposed to be a threatening face.My shift immediately became chaos.Another coworker left sick.My phone stayed in my locker most of the day.By afternoon, I wondered whether Daniel had found somewhere to go.Then another resident needed me.And another. When I finally picked Caleb up after work, my head was pounding.“Do you think Daniel found a place?” he asked.“I hope so.”“Could he stay again?”“We agreed on one night.”Caleb looked disappointed. When we stepped off the elevator, I smelled bread and tomato soup. Then I put my key in our lock.It turned smoothly. No pulling. No lifting the handle. The door opened.I froze. The small entry table had been moved. The rug was rolled back.My father’s old red toolbox sat open on the floor. The strike plate beside the lock had been removed, with screws lined neatly beside it.“Caleb, stay behind me.”“Mom?”“Just stay there.”The apartment was strangely clean. The couch blanket had been folded. The kitchen counters were clear. But Daniel was nowhere in sight.I reached for my phone. Then the bathroom door opened.Daniel stepped out holding a screwdriver. The color drained from my face.“You’re still here.”His expression changed when he saw mine.“Yes. I called you.”“You took apart my door.”“Only the strike plate and loose hinge screws. The frame was sagging.”“You should have asked.”“You’re right.”His immediate answer stopped me.“I’m sorry. I should’ve waited.”I pulled out my phone. There was a missed call and a text. It’s Daniel. My knee is much worse today. Ruth checked on me. I tried to leave but couldn’t walk far enough safely. I’m sorry. Please call when you can.I had missed it.That explained why he was still there.I looked around.“What happened in here?”“I cleaned a little. Made dinner.”“A little?”He almost smiled.“I can stand for short periods. Walking any distance makes the knee swell badly. I worked for a few minutes, sat down, then started again.”That made more sense. As if on cue, Ruth knocked on the open door.“He tried to leave at 8,” she said. “Made it to the elevator and nearly fell. I brought him back.”“You called me?”“Twice.”“My phone was in my locker.”“I guessed.”She pointed toward the rug.“I helped move that. Before you accuse the in:jured man of remodeling.”On the kitchen table sat a list.Flour.Milk.Canned tomatoes.Broth.Cheese.At the bottom Daniel had written:Thank you for trusting me.Beside it was my overdue rent notice.I grabbed it too quickly.“You read this?”“I saw the heading when I moved it away from the sink.”“I have it handled.”He didn’t challenge the lie.Caleb looked at the soup.“Can we argue after dinner?”I almost laughed.Instead, I got out 3 bowls.Later, after Caleb went to work on his volcano, I sat across from Daniel.“What happened to you?”He looked at his brace.“My knee?”“Everything.”For a while, he said nothing. Then he told me.He had worked in building maintenance at a hospital for almost 12 years.Doors.Plumbing.Heating systems.Cabinetry.Anything that broke.“I liked being useful,” he said. Then an ac:cident on a loading platform twisted his knee badly. There was surgery.Complications.Months of recovery. His employer’s insurer disputed part of the claim. His attorney appealed. The case moved slowly.Rent didn’t.He stayed with a coworker until the coworker’s daughter moved home with her children. He sold his truck. That bought him another month.“And then?” I asked.“The next month came.”I understood that sentence. He glanced at the rent notice.“How far behind are you?”“That’s not your problem.”“No.”His voice stayed gentle.“It isn’t.”I stared at the paper.“If I can pay $350 by next Friday, my landlord will put the rest on a payment plan. But my full paycheck comes the week after.”Daniel nodded.“I don’t have $350.”“I wasn’t asking.”“I know.”Then he looked toward the repaired door.“But your landlord needs maintenance help.”I refused the idea at first.I wasn’t letting a stranger negotiate with my landlord, and Daniel wasn’t climbing ladders with an in:jured knee.He listened. Then he said, “You do the talking. I only explain what work I can safely do.”The next morning, we went to the leasing office. My landlord, Mr. Hayes, barely looked up.“Mara, we already discussed your balance.”“I know. I’m here about another option.”Daniel introduced himself and explained his maintenance background. He pointed out several obvious problems in the building: loose cabinet hinges in the common room, damaged handles, a laundry-room door closer that slammed hard enough to shake the wall.“I’m not asking to work off the books,” Daniel said. “Call my previous supervisor. If the reference checks out, hire me for a small paid trial.”Mr. Hayes looked at the brace.“No ladders?”“No.”“No heavy lifting?”“No.”“Electrical?”“Not under my current restrictions.”Daniel also explained that he was involved in an active workers’ compensation case and would document all work for his attorney.Mr. Hayes called Daniel’s former supervisor. When he hung up, his tone changed.“He says he’d hire you again if you were medically cleared.”Daniel nodded. They agreed on a 4-day temporary trial: roughly 15 hours of light maintenance at $24 an hour, with Mr. Hayes supplying materials and his regular helper handling anything heavy. Then Daniel said, “If Mara agrees, I’d like the first $350 of my wages assigned directly to her rent account.”I turned toward him.“You don’t have to do that.”“You gave me somewhere warm to sleep.”“That doesn’t mean you owe me $350.”“No.”He met my eyes.“But I get to decide what I do with money I earn.”Mr. Hayes prepared the paperwork.I read every line.So did Daniel.Nothing erased my debt.Nothing magically fixed my life. But once the work was completed, $350 would go toward my rent, and Mr. Hayes gave me another 30 days to catch up without adding new late fees.Outside the office, I stared at the agreement. For the first time in weeks, I could imagine making it to my next paycheck.“You don’t have to earn every meal,” I told Daniel.“I know.”“Do you?”He was quiet.“I’m trying to.”He stayed another night. Then we agreed on 1 week. This time we made actual rules. He would keep calling about housing. With my permission, he could use my address only for legal correspondence from his attorney. We would reassess after 7 days. And he would ask before repairing anything else.Caleb groaned.“Even my dresser?”“Especially your dresser.”Daniel raised both hands.“Understood.”The maintenance work took 4 days.Daniel stayed away from ladders and heavy lifting. He worked slowly and often from a rolling stool. When the $350 credit appeared on my rent account, I checked it twice. Then I sat in my car and cried. The gas bill still existed.Caleb still needed winter shoes.I still needed extra shifts. But I had room to breathe. When I went upstairs, Daniel noticed my red eyes but didn’t ask.He just handed me tea.Living with someone on your couch wasn’t magically easy.Sometimes I wanted my living room back.Sometimes Daniel became frustrated with everything his knee prevented him from doing.Sometimes Caleb forgot that a man resting with his leg elevated was not automatically available to inspect a volcano. We irritated one another. We apologized. We adjusted.Daniel eventually began doing a few small repair jobs within his medical restrictions. He cleared them with his attorney and kept careful records. One evening, he came home carrying groceries.Milk.Chicken.Apples.And chocolate cereal.Caleb hugged the box.“You understand this family.”Daniel laughed.A few days later, I found him at the table surrounded by envelopes. His attorney needed records Daniel was sure he had already submitted.“I can fix a hospital boiler,” he said, “but apparently paper defeats me.”“You’ve been carrying your life in a duffel bag.”“Fair.”I sat down.“Move over.”We organized medical records and letters.Made copies at the library.Charged his phone every night. There was no secret document that solved his case.It had already been moving before we met.But Daniel stopped missing calls. He had somewhere safe for his paperwork. And he no longer had to open every discouraging letter alone. In January, his attorney called. An overdue benefits payment had finally been authorized. It didn’t resolve the entire claim. But it was enough for a deposit.Caleb looked over Daniel’s shoulder at the confirmation.“Are you rich?”Daniel laughed, then wiped his eyes.“No.”“Medium rich?”“More like able-to-pay-a-deposit rich.”Caleb considered that.“Sounds pretty good.”“It does.”By February, Daniel found a room in a house 3 blocks away.Only 2 steps at the entrance.A bus stop nearby.Enough space for a real bed.Mr. Hayes also started giving him a few paid hours each week coordinating small repairs and meeting contractors, work Daniel could often do seated. The morning Daniel moved, nearly everything he owned still fit inside his blue duffel bag.I sent him away with towels, sheets, a pan, and the ugly green mug he always used.“You hate this mug,” I said.“I never said that.”“You look offended every time you drink from it.”“It’s a terrible color. That’s different.”Caleb stood in front of the door.“You don’t have to go.”Daniel lowered himself into the chair beside him.“I know.”“Then stay.”“I need a place that’s mine.”Caleb’s mouth trembled.“You’ll come back?”“If your mom lets me.”“Mom?”“Yes.”The answer came immediately.“Of course.”Daniel looked at me.“Thank you for opening the door.”I glanced at the hinges.“Thank you for making it close.”He smiled.“I guess I still owe you a door.”Two weeks later, I found a box outside the apartment.Inside was a new deadbolt. The old lock still stuck internally even though the door was finally aligned.A note sat on top.Mr. Hayes approved the replacement.Saturday?I’m asking first.I laughed.Daniel came that Saturday. And many Saturdays after that.Sometimes he fixed something.Sometimes he helped Caleb with homework.Sometimes his knee hurt and he simply sat at the table while I cooked.By spring, my rent was current. Not because someone secretly paid it.Not because I inherited money. It took extra shifts, the payment plan, and months of watching every dollar.Daniel’s recovery was the same. Some days he walked more easily. Some days the brace went back on.Neither of us recovered in a straight line. But we recovered. The following December, snow pressed against our windows while Caleb struggled with long division at the kitchen table.Daniel sat beside him.“You bring down the next number.”“I did.”“You brought down the wrong one.”“They all look suspicious.”“That is not how mathematics works.”I stood in the doorway watching them. Our apartment was still small. The couch still sagged. There were still bills under a magnet on the refrigerator. But the faucet no longer dripped. The front door closed smoothly.Caleb looked up.“Mom?”“Yeah?”“Can Daniel stay for dinner?”Daniel glanced at the clock.“I didn’t realize it was this late. I should probably—”“Stay.”I opened the cupboard. There was enough soup for 3 bowls.A year earlier, I would have counted twice before saying that. This time, I simply reached for another plate.Outside, the wind shook the windows.Inside, I ladled soup into 3 bowls.“We have plenty,” I said. And for once, I meant more than food.

Dakota Santiago/FreedomNewsTVOn Friday, five of the mole men emerged from an Upper East Side manhole on 82nd Street and took off in a truck, according to police and sources.Last month, two men, Kevin Rodriguez and Samuel Reveron, were busted after roaming through the underground beneath an Upper East Side hotel where Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stayed while in town for the UN General Assembly. This summer, another trio of mole men wearing overalls and headlamps crawled out of the ground a block away from Madison Square Garden at 32nd Street and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan.Another sighting came in September last year, when three people were spotted climbing out of a Brooklyn manhole at Bay Ridge Parkway and 17th Avenue in Bensonhurst around 4:30 a.m., with all of them taking off before police were able to respond to a 911 call.City officials speculate that the underground trespassers could be scavenging for valuables like coins, wallets, scrap metal or jewelry that were lost and ended up in the sewers.

Pope Leo XIV's Surgery Announcement Sparks Global Concern New

Pope Leo XIV's Surgery Announcement Sparks Global Concern

Pope Leo XIV is planning to undergo surgery to remove a recently discovered lung nodule. “It was detected at a very early stage and is well-defined,” Pope Leo, 71, said outside St. Peter’s Square on Sunday, October 11, according to CNN. “The doctors deem it advisable to intervene, so, following their advice, I have decided to undergo surgery to remove it.” Pulmonary nodules are defined as areas of abnormal growth on the lungs that are typically noncancerous, per the Cleveland Clinic. The nodules seldom cause symptoms, except in certain cases of chest pain, shortness of breath, chronic cough, fatigue or recurring respiratory infections. Further details about Leo’s condition have not been publicly revealed at the time of publication.  According to CNN, Pope Leo’s procedure is scheduled to take place early next week and the Vatican will function as usual amid his recovery. Leo was named the new pontiff in May 2025 after a conclave of international cardinals voted on Pope Francis’ successor. (Francis died one month earlier at the age of 88.) Leo (born Robert Francis Prevost) is the first American-born pope in the church’s history. “Thank you to my Cardinal brothers who chose me to be the Successor of Peter and to walk together with you as a united Church searching all together for peace and justice, working together as women and men, faithful to Jesus Christ without fear, proclaiming Christ, to be missionaries, faithful to the gospel,” Leo said in a speech at the time, addressing his new papal position. “I am a son of Saint Augustine, an Augustinian. He said, ‘With you I am a Christian, for you a bishop.’ So, may we all walk together towards that homeland that God has prepared for us.” Days later, Leo marked his first mass as the head of the Catholic Church with an impassioned speech. “You have called me to carry that cross and to be blessed with that mission, and I know I can rely on each and every one of you to walk with me as we continue as a church, as a community, as friends of Jesus, as believers, to announce the good news to announce the Gospel,” he said during his lengthy sermon. “A lack of faith is often tragically accompanied by the loss of meaning in life, the neglect of mercy, appalling violations of human dignity, the crisis of the family, and so many other wounds that afflict our society.”

Sofia's Age Mystery Solved: The Math Puzzle Everyone's Talking About New

Sofia's Age Mystery Solved: The Math Puzzle Everyone's Talking About

Math puzzles are always fun and interesting to solve.Today, we will look at a simple math riddle about a girl named Sofia.Someone asked Sofia how old she was.Instead of giving a direct number, she gave a math expression:6 – 1 x 5 + 8 ÷ 2Now, our job is to calculate this expression and find her real age.To solve this equation correctly, we must follow the standard rules of math.In mathematics, we use a special order of operations called PEMDAS or BODMAS.This rule tells us which calculation we should do first, second, and last. The letters stand for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction.Multiplication and division have higher priority than addition and subtraction. When we have both multiplication and division, we simply solve them from left to right.Let us look at Sofia’s math puzzle again:6 – 1 x 5 + 8 ÷ 2In this expression, we can see four different operations: subtraction, multiplication, addition, and division.First, we must perform the multiplication and division parts from left to right. The first calculation we encounter from the left is 1 x 5.1 x 5 = 5Now, we replace 1 x 5 with 5 in the main equation. The equation becomes: 6 – 5 + 8 ÷ 2Next, we look for the division part in the equation. We see 8 ÷ 2 at the end of the expression.8 ÷ 2 = 4Now, we replace 8 ÷ 2 with 4.Our equation is now much simpler: 6 – 5 + 4At this stage, we are left with only subtraction and addition.Since addition and subtraction have the same level of priority, we solve them from left to right.First, we calculate the left part: 6 – 5.6 – 5 = 1Now, we add the remaining number: 1 + 4.1 + 4 = 5We have completed all the operations correctly and reached the final answer. The final result of the equation 6 – 1 x 5 + 8 ÷ 2 is 5.Therefore, Sofia is 5 years old.By using the correct math order, we solved the puzzle easily and logically.

Trump Calls for New Ukrainian Leader Amid Ongoing War with Russia New

Trump Calls for New Ukrainian Leader Amid Ongoing War with Russia

President Donald Trump on Saturday expressed his frustration with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s inability to make a deal with Russia.“Well, I agree with you, and you know what I suggest? I suggest they get a new leader who can make a deal. Because he [Zelenskyy] could have made many deals that for some reason he never does,” Trump told reporters in response to recent Russian drone attacks Ukraine has weathered. (RELATED: Zelenskyy Blasts Trump’s ‘Weak’ Oil Deal With Putin, Trump Offers One-Word Response)“And let me go a step further,” Trump continued. “If I were president, you wouldn’t have ever had that war … You’ve lost 30% of your country and you’ve had over a million people killed; between the two of them, over two million people killed. That’s a war that should have never started, and I think it’s time for Ukraine to get a new president.”.@POTUS on Ukraine: "You know what I suggest? I suggest they get a new leader who could make a deal because he could’ve made many deals and for some reason he never does… I think it’s time for Ukraine to get a new President." https://t.co/WoVG0HUazA— Rapid Response 47 (@RapidResponse47) October 10, 2026The White House and Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s requests for comment.“We said, ‘You can do whatever you want to Russia, [but] don’t hit the refineries because that’s a world problem that’s caused,’” Trump also said. “And he wants to make problems for the world. He wants to make problems for our farmer, our ranchers, with diesel fuel because Russia supplies a large portion of the diesel fuel throughout the world.”The national average price of a barrel of diesel was $6.28 as the time of writing, up from $3.67 in 2025, according to AAA.“And we told them, ‘Do whatever you want, but don’t hit the diesel fuel because there’s a big problem — a big shortage,’” Trump continued. “And what does he do? He goes and hits the diesel fuel.”The interaction follows Trump’s securing a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin to let Russia provide millions of diesel barrels to global markets in an attempt to lower its prices. Meanwhile, Ukraine had been targeting Russian oil storage infrastructure in an attempt to inflict economic pressures to negotiate in good faith. (RELATED: Trump Says Russia Will Ship Millions Of Tons Of Diesel To Bring Down Record Prices)“I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter,” Trump announced in a Truth Social post Friday. “Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel.”“Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST! Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority,” Trump continued.Zelenskyy criticized Trump’s decision go forward with that deal in a Saturday post to X.“Every additional billion dollars they can earn from exports will be spent on nothing but sourcing and importing critical components and equipment to manufacture weapons, upgrading ‘shaheds,’ producing missiles, and recruiting even more mercenaries to fight at the front,” Zelenskyy stated. “Russia’s choice is war. And they will be ready to end it only when they feel that their ability to drag the war out is diminishing.”What allowing Russia to sell oil products means was heard most clearly in Kyiv just now, when, after repeated attacks on energy facilities with jet-powered “shaheds,” Russia launched a ballistic missile attack as well. Some of the missiles were intercepted. This once again clearly demonstrates Russia’s true intentions. They count on prolonging the war, terrorizing ordinary people, and destroying infrastructure. Every additional billion dollars they can earn from exports will be spent on nothing but sourcing and importing critical components and equipment to manufacture weapons, upgrading “shaheds,” producing missiles, and recruiting even more mercenaries to fight at the front. Russia’s choice is war. And they will be ready to end it only when they feel that their ability to drag the war out is diminishing. Unfortunately, the signals Russia received yesterday were entirely different – signals suggesting that it could simply keep attacking. And this needs to be corrected. Strong signals are needed from the United States, Europe, and other partners – signals in support of Ukraine and to RESTRICT Russia’s ability to wage war and terrorize people. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!— Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський (@ZelenskyyUa) October 10, 2026“Unfortunately, the signals Russia received yesterday were entirely different – signals suggesting that it could simply keep attacking. And this needs to be corrected,” Zelenskyy continued. “Strong signals are needed from the United States, Europe, and other partners – signals in support of Ukraine and to RESTRICT Russia’s ability to wage war and terrorize people.”Zelenskyy has been president of Ukraine since May 2019. Ukraine’s 2023 parliamentary elections and 2024 presidential election were suspended after he initiated martial law in February 2022, following Russia’s invasion of the country.

Why So Many Men Are Asking for This Classic Sex Position New

Why So Many Men Are Asking for This Classic Sex Position

In a world where porn is never more than a finger tip away, sexual experimentation has become increasingly exotic. While your favorite sex position is (thankfully) yet to feature in a standard “Get to know” section on your company biography page, the most-requested sexual position men ask an escort for has been revealed. Despite there being an online archive, a copulative catalog, if you will, of raunchy coital positions, vanilla prevails, according to Australian escort Lilith Lodge . The plainness of vanilla is preferred The seasoned, Brisbane-based sex worker confirmed that the position many consider sexual bread and butter remains the firm favorite, with missionary still the most requested position from her horny clients. "Most clients are very basic and standard in what they want," Lodge said to Metro. "It's not super common, definitely not a weekly event, to have clients ask for something outside of what I feel is 'normal'. It's pretty much just missionary." She added: "It can be very uncomfortable and not enjoyable for my clients to do crazy positions, unless they're a really young guy. Sometimes they'll ask for missionary with my feet up behind my head, (which not everyone is flexible enough to do), but that's about it." This lovemaking crowd-pleaser, where the woman lies flat on her back with her legs spread eagle, allows the two participants to stare lovingly at each other, arguably in the most intensely intimate of positions. Credit: Flashpop / Getty What makes missionary such a sexual staple? According to Bodyjoys , a website that specialises in relationship and intimacy advice, the position is a go-to for first-time couples in particular, who are still ascertaining mutual enjoyment. Its simplicity allows partners to focus on forming connection, rather than deploying flexibility-testing movements that can be both challenging and exposing. The site explains: "Missionary position is the go-to for many first-time couples as it allows them to create a greater connection. Eye contact enhances the emotional connection and makes for a much more sensual experience. "The close proximity of both partners also makes missionary position a winner when it comes to communication. You can adequately communicate what you like and dislike through noises, faces and movements while still enjoying a sensual experience." However, Dr. Louise Goddard-Crawley told Metro that the position isn't for everyone. She claimed that while it offers emotional advantages, it may not suit some people physically. "It also may feel more restrictive compared to other positions that allow for greater movement and range of motion," the psychologist declared. "For some, the missionary position may place pressure on joints, especially the lower back and knees, potentially causing discomfort or pain for extended periods." Featured Image.
